I Want You To Want Me (Bourbon Street Book 2)
Have you ever read a book (or series) that you enjoy so much that if, by chance, you wake up at 4am, you find yourself reaching for the book, instead of trying to get back to sleep? It’s my favorite time to read. The house is dark and silent except for the faint glow of my book-light, I’m cozy and bundled up, and it’s just me and my stories (and occasionally the faint sound of snoring, but a good nudge usually fixes that!) It might explain why I’ve been feeling sleep deprived these days, but it’s well worth it.

Book Review – Any Way You Want It by Kathy Love
Any Way You Want It (Bourbon Street Book 1)
After a crazy week of work, appointments, and other responsibilities, I was finally able to repose at the end of the weekend with a gratifying tale of passion.
Immersing myself fully in the book was rocky at first. The weekend was here, but the commotion was abundant. We had a sudden plumbing emergency (when the shower faucet decided to pop right off, spraying water everywhere), followed by the dogs barking incessantly for attention, and finally the husband who felt the need to express his boredom through dramatic groaning. Let me tell you, these distractions definitely tried to put a damper on the emotional ambiance of the story. However, once I had everything settled, I read (mostly uninterrupted), for hours on end, yielding to the romance that encompassed me.
Book Review – “Lover Eternal” by J.R. Ward
Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2)
My third favorite of the series (although, truly it’s hard to pick, as each one was great fun, and have their own special moments)
This BOOK#2 focuses on the Vampire warrior “Rhage”. He appears to be one of the younger of the group, has the looks of a model/actor (aptly nicknamed by his brothers “Hollywood”). His persona is one of a playboy, constantly on the prowl for his next “sexual encounter”, never to be completely enthralled by one woman. Party boy, bad boy all around! His brothers consistently give him “props” for his sexual prowess. On the outside, he’s a stud, but on the inside lies the heart of a man who just wants to love and be loved…
Book review – “Halfway to the Grave” by Jeaniene Frost
Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress)
Ahhhhh yes – I read this one to hold me over while I waited for the remainder of my “Anita Blake” series to arrive in the mail (I had just finished the first 4 books, and was anticipating more of that crazy drama!)
But guess what? I was so enthralled with this new series (aka “The Night Huntress” novels), that I did not put it down until I got through it (Anita arrived, but had to wait)!
This series is action packed, funny AND romantic! It made me laugh out loud numerous times, and captured my attention, so much, that everything (and everyone else) went ignored.
