<—- Book #1 had me all intensely connecting to the hero (while simultaneously wanting to run in the other direction… And then back to him, again).
My brain, you know. It had “smart” opinions, while my heart had… another idea. I mean, he’s literally (yes, I said literally!) the guy that your mamma warned you about. He’s a player, a bad boy, part of a rough crew, and his over-the-top reactions to… other guys in the vicinity… well… eeeeeep!!! He’s jealous, possessive, and reacts obnoxiously. Publicly.

Currently Reading… Damaged and the Beast by Bijou Hunter
Damaged and the Beast is already rocking my reading night! Thanks for the suggestion Joanna!!!
I’m still just in the first quarter but everything about it is making me read with a silly grin on my face. Just ask my husband. I’m looking pretty goofy right now. I picked it up ’cause I heard it has that Beautiful Disaster feel (which we all know is alright by me)! 😉
Joanna: Someone recommended Damaged and the Beast, so I grabbed it yesterday. I don’t know what it was about this book, but I read it in one afternoon and enjoyed it SO MUCH. I can’t pin down why, but honestly, I felt like I felt when I read Beautiful Disaster. I haven’t tried to analyze this or consider the writing, I just enjoyed every minute of it. Wanted to share!!!!
Andrea Smith – G-Man Series Reading Order
UPDATED 08-05-2019!!
Ooooh these sound steamy, and book #1 features an older woman/younger man (and she’s struggling with her marriage)… Recommended by quite a few in our book crew!!!
Lisa: Have you read Diamond Girl yet?? More rough around the edges guys!!
Karla: just finished DIAMOND GIRL which I loved couldn’t put it down and I found it here in your blog I know its in your TBR list so I hope you get chance to read it soon!!
Kandace: I am really looking forward to the June 12th release of Love Plus One (G-Man #2) by Andrea Smith. I loved Diamond Girl and can’t wait to read Lindsey and Taz’s story.
Stephanie Tyler – Defiance Series Reading Order
<— The minute I saw this one (as I was preparing this week’s latest “new release post“) I knew I had to get it and point it out to y’all. This was so obviously going to be for us! Motorcycle club gangs with a dystopian feel? This could only mean fun! It is VERY high on my TBR list, and many of our fellow readers jumped on it and have already given it their stamp of approval:
Georgia: I was all set to go. Had my TBR list with all the new releases and I saw maryse post a new book by Stephanie Tyler called Defiance. Well I was hooked, 35% into it and it is really good. It reminds of Kit Rochas books Beyond Shame and Beyond Control but a little tamer.
Book Review – Unbeautifully by Madeline Sheehan
Unbeautifully (Undeniable: Book Two)
Two for two this week for me and I loved this one on an almost 5-star level. Ooooooh it was almost perfect for me, even when I was appalled at a few of the men (eeeep! Deuce is too much for me, at times), I was good with the “realism”. I knew what I was heading into, and would have been disappointed if the bikers weren’t true to their characters. The author did not let us down.
There is no such thing as “politically correct” in this group. Women who debase themselves just to be a “part” of them are disrespected (and while I’m on the subject, the “old ladies” can be, and often are, too). Angry tirades are taken out on the wrong people. Murder, mayhem and criminal activity abound. Plus, they have their own version of the bro-code and the punishment doesn’t always fit the crime (in our eyes) but in theirs… well. Eeeeeeeep! From beatdowns, to “going to ground”, you eff up? You pay.
