The Edge of Never <—- This is one of the BEST BOOKS THAT I HAVE EVER READ. I’m shaking and my shaking started AFTER I finished reading. I haven’t had this happen to me in a LONG time. Ages. Maybe two or three books total in my entire reading life that not only made me cry, but made me tremble and shake AFTER my cry-fest. After the fact. AFTER I finished the book. I’m still trembling as we speak. What is this? An adrenaline rush? Coming down from the adrenaline rush? When will I stop shaking?

Book Review – Just Remember to Breathe by Charles Sheehan-Miles
Just Remember to Breathe
This one ended up being almost everything I hoped for. It was another one of those introspective yet gentle reads that still managed to deeply affect me. I fluctuated between moments of happiness, hope and delighting in their sweet moments, to sadness, and wondering if it could really ever… just “be”. And yet, I felt as if I had a deep understanding of where the character’s doubts were coming from. On the outside looking in, I could tell where they were hurting themselves, and in turn, each other. And yet, I would have likely been on that very same wavelength had it been me.
Book Review – Charade by Nyrae Dawn
Charade
The first half… good, but the second half was so good, and so incredibly heartbreaking that I could barely contain myself. Oh wait, that’s right. I didn’t contain myself at all. I just let go and cried and cried and cried. Not just tears, I mean the sobbing and high pitched keening and everything. Little balls of damp tissue paper littered my bed, my pajama top soggy and wrinkly from using it to mop up my face repeatedly (I had been using that until I finally decided to go find the tissues). Usually the pajama top suffices, but not in this case. *shakes head* Prepare yourselves. ![]()
Book Review – Leave Me Breathless by Cherrie Lynn
Leave Me Breathless (book #3 in the “Ross Siblings” series)
<—Loved this! Though I had a few “reservations” before starting it. As much as I desperately wanted (and still want) more in this series, I thought Rock Me would be a really hard act to follow. I adore Brian (from Rock Me) and he’s still, to this day, one of my #1 heroes. I wholeheartedly connected to him and his bad boy persona, and absolutely felt everything that story had to throw at me. And when I found out the next book (this one) would be about Ghost (his best friend & tattoo artist employee), I was happy, but didn’t doubt for a second that he had nothing on Brian.
R.L. Mathewson – Hollywood Heart Series Reading Order
In honor of meeting the wonderful author, R.L. Mathewson today, I’m putting up a reading order guide for one of her series (while I prepare a separate “meet & greet” post with pictures and a giveaway!)
When we were going crazy for this author’s “Neighbors From Hell” series, Jodi recommended this one, too!
“… try Humble Heart and Reclusive Heart by the same author. Humble Heart rocked although don’t judge by the first chapter or two. They were a completely different tone than the rest of the book that I didn’t quite get but the rest of the book was awesome!
