Taking Chances (Taking Chances and Forgiving Lies Book 1)
Okay, here is another one that spontaneously rushed it’s way to the top of my list this week. I heard about it for the first time a few days ago, but over and over again, the enthusiasm was making me antsy. I just couldn’t put it off and had to see what all the craze was about. And… you guys did good! I’m on the fence with just how much I liked/loved it. I’m literally half and half with this book and I can’t commit to a grade, because there were some parts (big parts) that were full-on five star for me (loved and hated parts, but they affected me SO much that I was all “OMG this just became a 5 star read!!”) and theennnnn….. some other parts (or maybe just my “issues”) that give me that “3 star” urge. Half and half.

Book Review – Seducing Cinderella by Gina L. Maxwell
Seducing Cinderella: A Fighting for Love Novel (Entangled Brazen)
A quick, sweet, funny, easy & wonderfully priced read. And!! It features an MMA champion UFC fighter. Fictional, of course 😉 hehe. But still, wonderful to imagine, and so fun to experience his delicious alpha-male reactions. A touch of bad-boy arrogance, cocky attitude, and jealous possessiveness that had even him surprised!
And what I loved most? Well, the developing connection of course, but… the dialogue pleased me, especially what he said, and the way he said it. I believed his growly ways and his ticking jaw. Only once or twice did I roll my eyes a bit, but overall, a great short “in-between” read. Enticing enough that you finish it in one sitting, but not so tormenting or angsty that you can’t move on to another read right after.
Kele Moon – Battered Hearts Series Reading Order
A fantastic series about big name famous UFC fighters (title holders & champions, but also up and comers and some that made it far but changed courses along the way…) that have found each other in one way, shape or form in a small town called Garnet. ‘Cause it seems that Garnet is producing some of the best MMA fighters around. A UFC training center, started by a gorgeous and hulking local county cop (that was once a HUGE contender in the UFC world), that he runs along with his best friend (Clay, a UFC Heavyweight title holder) and his twin sister (a martial arts expert).
Book Review – Star Crossed (Battered Hearts 2) by Kele Moon
Star-Crossed (Battered Hearts) NOTE: If you haven’t already read book #1 (Defying the Odds) check that one out, before this review. I LOVED it! Book Review – Defying the Odds by Kele Moon
Soooooo SWEET!! I loved this book, and once I hit the halfway point, I couldn’t put it down. At first I kept comparing the beginning (this couple’s initial connection) to book #1 (Defying the Odds), and I wasn’t sure this second installment would live up to the romantic intensity of the first.
Bargain e-Book Alert!! “Noah” by Elizabeth Reyes!!
Bargain e-book ALERT!!! Noah (5th Street), and this is only temporary, because book #2 in the series will be released soon (YAY meeeeee!!!)
This is one that I absolutely LOVED. A contemporary romance with a gorgeous up and coming fighter (read: alpha-male) and his somewhat older “trainee”. I loved the slow build-up and the issues they faced. I was so IN… hook line and sinker. A lighter read, but still smokin’ and it’s got all that emotional tug ‘o war that I so thoroughly enjoy.
