Something in the Way (Something in the Way Series Book 1)
This one is the most asked about book in our weekly “reader question” sessions. Everyone is trying to find (or remember) the title of “that book with that crazy-angsty sounding blurb”.

Oh yes. It’s one of the best book-blurbs ever, and it made me GASP. It’s like it had it’s own little twist. 😉 Apparently, it had the same effect on so many of us.

<— ONE OF the TOP BOOKS on my TBR list, one that has been SO highly, and so often recommended (forbiddeny and so angsty sounding!!!) and one of the most frequently asked about in my “reader question” emails. Everyone wants to read this, if they haven’t yet, including me! :D!!!

Susan: I just finished Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins. I judge a book by whether or not I can put it down and I could not put it down. 5 stars for me.

Here’s another book that gave me a recent blurb-jolt, and of course, a boat load of guilt for being excited at that turmoil it promised. lol

The truth?

I slept with my sister’s fiancé. Hot and sweaty, all night long in a room so dark he couldn’t tell I wasn’t her.

The lie?

Said fiancé is the father of my child.

GAH!!! WHAT!????

And then I received some awesome recommendations that just cinched it for me!

Okay here’s another reader looking for a book title. It, too looks right up our alley, but I don’t know what it is.

Ok you are my last resort. I swear I’ve read a book synopsis about twin sisters. One sister dies and surviving twin develops a relationship with the dead sister’s boyfriend. Book Review – The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

The Bronze Horseman (The Bronze Horseman Trilogy)
I don’t have much experience with historical romance novels. In fact, I tend to bypass them, and in all honestly, I don’t even know WHY I usually choose to skip them for something contemporary. It’s not that I haven’t enjoyed those that I’ve already read. As I think back to them, I’ve loved them all. Books about Highlanders, some from the Victorian era, and then some, errrr… okay. Mostly Highlanders. 😉 LOL! Each and every one of them has captured my attention and I’ve found myself completely absorbed and dreaming of a different time. A different way of living. A different way of loving. Some occasional scenes depicting appalling male tendencies and customs, to be sure, but these romance authors sure have a magic touch in making some of them hero-worthy. I don’t think I’d want to test my luck in a real-life “time travel” experiment, but in the land of fiction, these guys seem just as wonderful and exciting as our contemporary bad-boys. read more
