This sounds right up my romance/domestic thriller dark alley! I love the whole starting over/hiding out theme (and then meeting someone… and learning to trust again. The dangers… the slow burn. YES PLEASE) This one just gave me a HUGE blurb jolt!

Badly need help solving a book title
Trying to remember title of historical romance book.
The most stand out thing I remember is in the beginning she was in the back of a cart laying down because she had been whipped or beaten when the hero came up to, if i remember right, kidnap her.
Even though she was delirious from pain and fever she still fought back. I could be wrong but I think she was on the way to Scotland to be married.
