Painted Faces
Stayed up until 4am to finish this one and it was totally worth my current zombie-like state, even though I had plenty of sleep. I just woke up at noon (*gasp* I KNOW!! I NEVER do that!). But I needed my 8 hours of sleep so… I don’t feel so guilty about my extravagantly lazy Saturday. AND!!! it just means I’ll probably stay up real late reading tonight and do it again all day tomorrow. Hey! I’m back on vacation until Wednesday, so you can bet I’m living large. And by living large, I mean, reading at all hours of the day and night with no concern for socially acceptable sleep schedules. Wooohooo!! I’m on a book bender! Imma read until I pass out!!! πΒ Okay so the afternoon coffee has apparently made me a little hyper, too.

Book Review – Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
Wallbanger
<—- And that title does NOT lie. I literally squawked with titillated glee when I read the title, and after reading the synopsis? I knew it absolutely had to be mine the minute it was released. After all, I loved this author’s “Redhead” series, so I had an idea of what I was in for.
“… When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tensionβs gonna be thick…”
R.L. Mathewson – Neighbors From Hell Series Reading Order
These books were just what I needed when I came across them back in January. Sweet, funny, and romantic but with just enough of that “real feel” that I love so much. These guys rocked my world!!
Found it by accident while looking for a new book, thought the synopsis sounded great (even though the book covers were, at one time, nondescript). Didn’t matter to me. The premise was right up my alley. It’s as if I was *magically* led to them and I was sucked in from the very beginning. They made me laugh like crazy, but I crushed HARD too. The “heroes” are gorgeous, sweet, and deliciously infuriating (driving their female neighbors crazy). In a bad way. And… in a good way too! And now they’re even better with the hot new covers!
Book Review – Playing for Keeps (A Neighbor from Hell Novel) by R.L. Mathewson
Playing For Keeps (A Neighbor From Hell Series – Book #1)
I stumbled upon this series while checking out some potential new reads that had been recommended. These weren’t on my list, but something possessed me to click on them and check them out a little deeper. I mean, come on… anything that has a “Neighbor from Hell” in the title sounds like it’s gonna be fun! There weren’t many reviews at the time, but the few they did have were extremely positive, felt real, and the synopsis had me chuckling. Oh and the price couldn’t be beat! I downloaded both ASAP, and even though I had other books I intended to read first, these just kept calling me.
Okay… This Isn’t the Review Just Yet, But I Loved This Book!! Perfection (A Neighbor from Hell) by R.L. Mathewson
Perfection (A Neighbor From Hell)
Some of you are still waiting on my book “reveal” after I teased ya’all on Facebook over the weekend.
Maryse’s Book Blog: “4.5 stars of grrrrr, and non stop chuckles, and sighs, and more grrrrrrr, – witty, fun, silly, and still deep enough to feel emotional on a personal level. These people are real, to me. LOVED it, and I’m onto the next. Review to come shortly, and the details for those in the mood for light-hearted and yet still a somewhat deep read.:”
