The Unidentified Redhead (The Redhead)
They were right. Who’re “they”? Seemingly… all of my fellow readers who read this book before me…’cause it seems like everyone who read it, simply loved it. Over the last month or so, this book series has made frequent appearances on my Facebook page. Frequently recommended, and enthusiastically chatted about each time the subject came up. So when I mentioned making it next in my reading list, the encouraging response was unanimous (both on my Facebook page, and here on my blog):

Book Review – Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher
Damaged Goods
I was doing a bit of “What to Read After Fifty” research and happened upon this book. It wasn’t even on my radar until yesterday but OMG my jaw dropped (just look at that gorgeous cover)!! I HAD to know just who was the damaged goods in this one, and I so wanted to walk that path with them.
So… I downloaded the sample. You know… just so I wouldn’t forget it amongst my huge TBR list. Sometimes it’s out of sight, out of mind with me, and with a cover like that constantly in my face, I new I’d be on it soon enough. And I went back to the book I HAD been reading but I couldn’t stop thinking about this one. My current read was good, but this one was calling me so I went ahead and read that sample. And that was it. I was hooked.
Book Review – On The Island by Tracey Garvis Graves
On the Island: A Novel
This book has quite a little buzz about it, and Tina and I went all out yesterday. Well me, more like last night, after work until 2am. I started it at 8pm and didn’t put it down once, until I was done. It is soooooooooooo good. No. SO much better than that. It’s awesome!!!! I’d even say it makes my “Best of the Year” list, and I will probably think about it forever. And ever!
Tina gave me updates throughout the day (killing me in the process ’cause I couldn’t read it until I got home):
Book Review – Finding Home by Bonnie Dee and Lauren Baker
Finding Home
I’m an emotional book-zombie mess again!! I stayed up all night, reading this un-put-downable book. I ended up caring too much for a couple of characters that have both elated me, and disturbed me (well, especially one in particular). They made me sad, made me happy, made me sigh with the sweetness, made me worry, made me say to myself over and over again… “Oh no. This is not good. This can’t be good in the long run. This is trouble.” And yet, I loved it.
