Reader confession time. Oh yes. This is a given for SO MANY of us. The majority of us, I think.
And it’s obvious that I can TOTALLY relate to this one. Travis and Christian, and well… Kellan, anyone? 😉 I, too, love my heroes bad-ass but broken. Gah. WHYYYYYYYY???!!!
Why do we want it so difficult? It’s hard. It’s tumultuous. It’s angsty. It’s addictive. AND. IT. HURTS!!!!!! But it’s fun and it’s real.
And therefore… it’s fulfilling, and titillates all of our book-romance needs.
I am LOVING the sound of this author’s stories (pure contemporary romance with a kick… and maybe some sweetness, too) and when I saw THIS adamant recommendation, I knew I had to look this book up!
Laura: oh my god u guys I found us a gem!!! I’m only 39% into this book and I freaking love it!! It’s a grief/love story and it has the hot tattoo artist single dad and she’s his dead wife’s best friend oh it’s soooo good it’s totally us!!
I don’t know if anyone has read it but from the other characters in the book I’m sure it will turn into a series and even thought the title of the book says so he’s not totally a bad boy, the writing is so real it could happen really and so could all their conversations oh u have to read it! Maryse I know u like to search for stuff realllllly go search on this I know u will love it – bringing home the bad boy by Jessica Lemmon!!!

RUSH (City Lights: New York City Book 3)
This one was just what the reader ordered!!! The pacing and the detail was such, that I felt as if I was living through her eyes (yet not bogged down with it). And OMG!!! I think this is the first book that has ever had me sobbing for joy… wonderful, relieving, exquisite, pure and unadulterated joy! I thank you Jillian for adamantly recommending it!
Jillian: Rush by Emma Scott is a must read!! Perfectly written and paced. Angry, bitter blind man and his personal assistant, a violinist who has been through heartache herself, struggle to accept their fates and ultimately their love for one another. I know it sounds depressing. But it’s real and beautiful and unique. Five plus stars!
I only discovered this author with her latest book #3 release (each book can be read as a standalone), but I fell in love with her writing and had to know more! Sure enough, it would seem the theme of this series features reclusive, brooding men, traumatic experiences and the women that they finally let into their hearts. *sigh*
Jillian: Maryse you’ll Love Rush. PLEASE give it a shot. You’ll be hooked. I know it! It really is just brilliant. You FEEL and LIVE every moment with them. He’s the epitome of a jerk to her at the beginning… I was so mad at him! The things he says and does… Gah!!! And the girl in it is the perfect heroine. She wasn’t over the top perfect, but she wasn’t annoying. She was real, he was real. He was an amazing extreme sports athlete… To have that taken away and the way we get to see his pov through his blind eyes? Wonderful. She wrote it to a T. Anyone!! You won’t regret reading it. (I swear I do not know the author, promise)
