So what’s it about?
<— OMG this sounds A-MAZING!!! ROMANCE ANGST (could it be a love triangle??) and it sounds deep, and like the ultimate guilt pleasure to boot!
And it was supposed to be a standalone, but the sequel just came out and I’ve been told NOT to read the blurb (spoilers!!) but… it was too late. I already had. I didn’t know they were a duet, and I read the blurb for #2 and FREAKED OUT!! And now I’m dying to read it even more.
Michele G: I’ve been waiting for One Year Home since I read Five Years Gone by Marie Force. …You definitely need to read book one first and don’t read the description for book 2 or it may ruin the outcome of book one for you…fyi!
Whoaaaa!! That gorgeous, moody cover, and title (The Suicide King) has me so intrigued!! Vanessa Marie is this week’s newsletter sponsor and to celebrate her latest release, she sent over a “Five Facts” to give us a look behind the book.
It sounds poignant and heart wrenching. Just check out this blurb, and tell me it doesn’t give you goosebumps…
Jason King thought suicide was the only answer.
He couldn’t take it anymore.
The inner demons were winning and he was ready to surrender.
As far as he was concerned no one would care.
Everyone would be better off.
No one would notice he was gone.
Little did he know how wrong he was.
His actions had consequences.
The reach went further than he could have imagined.
Only his suffering didn’t end.
Stuck in purgatory Jason is forced to walk a new path.
One that shows him how his suicide affected all those involved.
Even the ones he never thought would care.
The ones he never knew it would reach.
In this Scrooged-like tale, Jason King will visit all of those who mourn him.
He finds out a little too late how wrong he was about everything.
<— BLURB JOLT ALERT!! NEW DUET & OMG IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!!! And our book crew is LOVING it like crazy!!
Jessica: I read book one and OMG! All the feels. I thought I knew what was going on but I had NO idea. Soooo good. Can’t wait for the second book.
Ashley: I just finished the new duet by Elizabeth O’Roark and it was amazing! Parallel and Intersect. If anyone is looking for something that is going to completely suck you in – this is it. One of my top reads for the year! I loved loved Waking Olivia and this one has that insane tension/chemistry that I love in books.
Marion needs our help! And OMG this one sounds all sorts of tumultuous and angsty and like all sorts of trouble… and BE STILL MY BEATING HEART with the last part of her question. WHOA.
She asks:
Hi Maryse
HELP! I read this book like a year ago and it was really good but I can’t remember the title.
All I remember is that the H and h had a deep connection but were both married to other people. They kept on meeting once a year in secret at a B&B. Then they would send each other song lyrics after their encounters.
