When Ashes Fall
What an intense, truly unique take on a love story (or TWO love stories) that just might have you questioning exactly what is happening… and how she can be so deeply in love with two different men at the same time, without it being a what it appears to be.

Is it? Or isn’t it? 😉 TONS of questions and guesses for sure.

Lisa: I have so much love for When Ashes Fall right now. That book owned me. I opened it intending to just get started, since I was at work, and the next thing I know it’s 7 hours later and I’m making enough unladylike crying noises at my desk that my co-worker had to come check on me!!! It’s a gut-wrenching, yet beautiful story. It will break your heart, but also mend it. It is not safe for those averse to Marmies…but it is also NOT about cheating. I had such a visceral reaction to the storyline when it all came together for me. read more

Ginger Scott – The Waiting Series Reading Order

ANGST ALERT!!! And book #3 JUST WENT LIVE (but this series must be read in order)! No worries, my book-twin, Amy, LOVED the first two, and I trust everything she loves. Also, I love this author so I know right off the bat, that this series will rock my world.

The Waiting Series, which follows high school sweethearts Reed Johnson and Nolan Lennox through football, life, love and everything messy that goes along with it. The series begins with Waiting on the Sidelines and Going Long. Book 3 is for more mature readers and deals with adult themes.

Amy: I loved Waiting on the Sidelines and the sequel!! Yes, it was teenage angst but it was ANGST! And we love angst in just about any form, don’t we? ;)

Beverly: Waiting on the Sidelines is awesome! One of my favs.

Cheryl: …ended up reading another Ginger Scott series, Waiting on the Sidelines. I usually don’t like high school H/h story’s but this was an exception. Book 2 they were college age and had a fair amount of angst. read more

Melissa needs our book help!! AND OMG YES!!!! I LOVE THAT SONG. Hard. It makes my heart aches and it’s so intense. I can imagine just listening to that song while reading this scene and feeling it.

But! I don’t think I know which book this is.

She asks:

There is a book from my past I am desperately thing to remember. I read it about 4 years ago and want to re-read it but can’t remember the name.

I believe it was a series.

The most I can recall is at some point the characters had broken up and the she was staying with a friend.  The guy either sent her a tape or something that had Hozier’s “Take Me To Church“.

I can’t for the life of me remember the series and it’s driving me crazy.  I even searched Google asking if that song was in a book with no luck. I’m really hoping someone anyone can help with this limited info.

Book Review – Heartbreak Warfare by Heather M. Orgeron & Kate Stewart

Heartbreak Warfare
WOWOWWWWW!!!! That is the exact feeling I had when I read the very last line. I absolutely LOVED this book to no end.

It encompasses everything that is real and difficult and tumultuous and magnificent when it comes to love, life, heartache and family.

What I want and what I need are rarely in line anymore.

And BOY DID WE FEEL IT!!! Right from the very start:

Linda: Just started Heartbreak Warfare and I’m so nervous!! Lol! Crazy I tell ya!! Going in blind but I’ve been skating over reactions and seeing lots of love so I gotta go into the trenches and see for myself.

Nay: I finished Heartbreak Warfare and loved it! Lovers of angst NEED to read it! Leslie does NOT need to read it. ;)

Jean: Heartbreak Warfare. OMG you guys…… this book! I’m only at 18% but I know this is going to hurt! It’s so great though!!!! Can’t wait to get back to it!

Maryse: I’m about 30% into it and I already feel like I know where it’s going but I LOVE that… there’s good reason, if it does. But it’s going to HURT. Love triangle for sure… and the writing is good.

Melinda: OMG, I just have to vent big time! I just finished heart break warfare what an absolutely emotional roller coaster. I thought at one stage I was having a heart attack. The feelings were so life like.

I stayed up to 2.30am reading went to bed and couldn’t sleep as I couldn’t stop thinking about the trauma that occurred. Then up at 6am. Still thinking about it all day at work. 5 BIG BIG Stars for me. If they were all that good. Omg I would walk around like a zombie. read more
