<— FANTASY ROMANCE ALERT and I’m hearing a great suggestion for “What to read after Golden Dynasty“!!! AND!!! I hear #1 doesn’t end on a cliffhanger even though it’s a series. πŸ˜€

Jodi: Amanda Bouchet’s debut novel A Promise of Fire, The Kingmaker Trilogy. I highly recommend this book. It was a real page turner. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the release of the second one. It has fantasy, action, romance, Greek Gods, awesome characters and a fantastic storyline. Doesn’t end in a big cliffhanger either which is an added bonus. read more

One of the BEST books of the year (and one of my new forever-favorites). It Ends with Us: A NovelΒ has brought about many visceral reactions out of my fellow readers. And we can all say that no matter what, we will NEVER forget this one.

In fact, it has touched SO many, and has shined a light on such an important issue, that many feel they have found a voice, and hope, through this realistic, profound and desperately important realization.

Janet:Β I’m playing catch-up. I just finished Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us, An absolutely stunning, heart wrenching, intelligent, 5 star read! Maryse, I can see a β€˜What to read after…’ list on the horizon, but frankly it’s going to be a tough one to follow. read more

Definitely a great fit for the “What to Read After Me Before You” list!! Thanks to those of you that recommended this.

I was in the mood for a sweet friendship/potential love story between someone coping with a disability and someone taking life for granted and this one certainly had all of that!

But of COURSE, you just KNOW I had to make this list. πŸ˜‰ So many of us went crazy for Me Before You. We sobbed through it. We rejoiced, and despaired in it. And many of us would love to experience that wonderful connection again, relating to such amazing, human, realistic characters, and their difficult plight together (and apart).

Sharon:Β Help. Just finished Me Before You. I am speechless. This book just hit me so deeply. I cried and I cried. Real sobbing tears. Not just tears in my eyes. What to Read After The Deal

I’ve been looking for more “new adult” books with that awesome, old-school “college/new adult” feel. There are so many in the new adult genre, from super-heartbreaking, to super-dark and everything in between. But to me… that one to the left? That is a recent “new-adult” book with that delightful “old-school’ feel.

You know the ones… Beautiful Disaster (<— although that one is super heartbreaking – LOVE!!), Easy, Flat-Out Love, Rock Me, Slammed… you get the picture. And they don’t have to be jocks (this isn’t a sports star romance list, although that’s coming, too!). πŸ˜‰ It’s about the “feel” of the writing, the storyline and the characters, their dialogue and connection, and not so much, the “trope”. read more
