Following my heart, one book at a time...
Oh yesssssss this “serial series” (it’s now complete!!) sounds right up my bad boy/bad GUY alley!!! ‘Cause you know what!?? He’s in prison. Not only in prison, but he pretty much rules it…
…a ruthless, cunning man runs La Rosa from the inside. He is known simply as Beast. All the wardens fear him. All the gangs obey him. He speaks to no one but his inner council. What he says is law…
…and then he sets his sights on the Warden’s daughter one day… Eeeeeeep!!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY MY FRIENDS!! 😀 Friday’s rock! It’s the start of my reading-weekend marathons (and hopefully this weekend I get to read outside, since it’s finally cooling down, here), plus, I get to gather some of the latest reader recommendations that have come my way. AND I’ve started a new “Friday morning tradition” where I search through books upon books that haven’t heard of yet, read blurbs, and post those that sound like something I’d like to read. Kind of like I used to do, when I’d go to a book store and spend ours reading back covers and making my own pile to take home. I don’t do that as much now that I’m an ebook fiend, but this is the next best thing.
53 Letters For My Lover
Here’s a book that has been on my “TBR list” since July, and I totally should have read it sooner! That blurb sounded emotionally, romantically angsty, and I knew it would take me right out of my comfort zone (which I absolutely love, when reading). But somehow, I kept passing it up.
It had come HIGHLY recommended a few times…
Diane: I HIGHLY recommend 53 letters, me and my reading buddy can’t get it out of our heads a week later and there’s a free companion novella ‘From his lips’. Angst to the max and so beautifully written. Also surprisingly explicit.
I absolutely LOVED a series by Jill Myles back in my “paranormal romance” days (Succubus Diaries Series) <— I fell in love HARD for the vampire in this one (Zane *sigh*)… what a love triangle!! But I digress!
Here’s another series, and this one’s a contemporary romance! Tabatha recommends it:
Tabatha: Last but definitely not least, are the games series by Jessica Clair/Jill Myles. … I love funny and Sexy reads, they are definitely my go to read.
About book #1:
<— Oooooh I’m already finding some that I’m *squirreling* over… *squeee!!!*
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!! (September 24th): Hopeless by Colleen Hoover is on sale!! (Thanks Amy!!) Here is my review. This book is awesome! —>
AND!! Temper For You by Genna Rulon was just released today. It is book three in her “For You” series. I believe each one is about a different couple so likely can be read as standalones, although getting to know them all from the start is best (and I loved book #1. Here is my review of that one).
