Following my heart, one book at a time...
Today’s featured Book Bash author is J.M. Darhower (and her wildly popular latest release, Monster in His Eyes). From that blurb, I’m thinking it’s a darkish read…
He’s a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.
I want to hate him.
Sometimes, I do.
But it doesn’t stop me from loving him, too.
And I’m hearing is also an absolute MUST READ!! And since I already love J.M. Darhower’s past work, this one is HIGH on my TBR list.
<— M/M fans, if you haven’t read this series yet, you MUST!!! I don’t have much experience in the genre yet, but I just KNOW this is one of the absolute best! There’s no denying it’s awesomeness. Check out my book review of book #1: Bear, Otter, and the Kid (4.5 stars) and you’ll see what I mean.
And if you’re not sure if you’re an “M/M romance” fan 😉 this is the first one that introduced me to the genre, and I fell hard!! There was a time I didn’t even know I could fall head-over-heels with a gay love story, but I realized, reading these, that I simply love love, regardless of sexual orientation. And so many of our fellow readers loved ’em too!
Today’s author spotlight features this popular new release, Infinity + One by author, Amy Harmon. Known for her heartfelt stories, and eloquent writing, her books evoke all sorts of feelings and emotions in her readers. She even made me cry big fat tears, in her other book, Making Faces. And I was only at 7%!
Zara: Oh my god. I just finished Infinity + One and I want to go in a time machine back to this morning and read it all over again. Soooo good. Easily my favourite book of 2014. Gah.
Checked Again (Checked Series Book 2)
I just HAD to read this one as soon as I finished book #1 (considering how it ended – see my review). My heart!! I totally *clutched* my chest with that last line. What a poignant, kind of hurty, ending, and I was just lucky enough that this one had just been released. I didn’t have to suffer for long.
And I enjoyed #2, but I think it’s more of an in-between “read”. Yes, of course it’s #2 in a trilogy, so the “in-between” status is obvious, but this one didn’t freak me out the way #1 did. Not that #1 was all that crazy or anything. Can’t be that crazy when it focuses on a character that is so OCD that every single detail in her life is controlled to a T. Can’t be that crazy, right?
<— Okay, first: THIS IS LIVE RIGHT NOW ON AMAZON!!!
And yep!! Today’s “Book Bash author spotlight” is with one of my absolute favorite authors in the world! But it’s not really with Karina… Nope. She sent someone else. Not only is Karina Halle’s super-sexy, bad-guy “Javier” live on Amazon right now in Dirty Angels, but… he, umm…. he called me today. And I still. Can’t. Breathe!!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!*
*thud* <— I fainted. Again.
