Latest Bargain e-Books – June 13th 2014

Happy Friday the 13th!!! It’s the perfect day for a romance read… and maybe even a dark read. I’d say dark romance, but er… those aren’t quite romance, now are they? So let’s just say… dark psychological thriller anti-love story. More like Stockholm syndrome. *eeeep!* eek

Ahhhh well. You get the picture. It involves “feelings” and scary, and it’s Friday the 13th and I’m feelin‘ scary! 😉

But!!! If you’re not in the mood for “dark” there are plenty of brand spankin’ new “sweets” and a few seriously bad-boy dirty mouths, “Bossy McAlphaPants” (<— lol *tee hee!!*), sports stars, and tumultuous marriages to choose from below. I’m titillated!! read more

Bonus scene from Amber Lin & Shari Slade’s “Three Nights with a Rock Star”

By 9 Comments

Rock star lovers, rejoice! Not only do we have a brand new bad-boy book to indulge in (“Three Nights with a Rock Star“), but it’s from an author that I love! Plus… this one appears to be SMOKING HOT!!! And… I have an exclusive bonus scene!

What’s the book about?

When Hailey crashes a Half-Life after party, she expects to find the bastard who knocked up her little sister. Instead she meets the sexy front-man who agrees to give her access to his crew if she gives him access to her body.

All Lock demands in return is three days of complete control over the Sunday School teacher. With a contract, because he’s been burned before. One misstep could send the band–and his tenuous sobriety–up in flames.

Hailey and Lock push each other’s limits… Against the penthouse window. Backstage. In the limo and on the elevator. But as the contract counts down, neither are ready for the party to end.

Ready for that bonus scene? I don’t think this one spoils anything, ’cause, you know. The blurb pretty much says this type of thing is gonna go on. *waggles eyebrows*. But I think it does give us a nice… taste. 😉

Bonus Scene (and beware… it is steamy):

Book Review – Checked by Jennifer Jamelli

Checked
<— Loved it! After reading that blurb, I knew this one would give me that reading satisfaction that I crave.

Maryse: I just GOTTA read this. I LOVE romance books about people with weird quirks, or social issues, and this one sounds like it’s gonna be fun. Or angst-hard. Either way, I one-clicked this puppy!

And boy did it deliver!

Maryse: Finished “Checked” and reeeeaaallly liked it. I’m thinking 4 stars (4-stars+), but the kind of 4-star story that I absolutely feel compelled to read the new release immediately after. Like right now. No breaks needed. I just wanna continue this story. Now. :P Or… tonight, ’cause I’m working right now, but you know. ;) As soon as I get home, I’m on to “Checked Again (Checked Series Book 2)“! read more

Reader Question – The book where she has words with his assistant and he takes his assistant’s side. Then she goes in the water…

By 4 Comments

LOL! I couldn’t help myself by titling it like that. Actually by the scene this reader remembers, it sounds quite a bit sadder and more serious, and I’d love to know what book she’s looking for, too!

Whitney asks:

OK so I’m trying to remember this book that I read a while back. I can only remember bits and pieces..

He’s rich. Mega rich.

She has two friends that are in the story. I believe one may be gay and is now working

The scene that is sticking out is one where they are at a work party for him. She sees that his new assistant is being a little to friendly. They have words and he takes up for the assistant. She takes the private jet to his empty beach house and wades out into the water (almost suicide attempt), but calla an old friend (possibly old flame) before hand who alerts the boyfriend and he finds her. read more
