You guys!! Gallery Books (the publisher to so many of our favorites like S.C. Stephens, Christina Lauren and Kresley Cole) attended Book Bash last weekend and sponsored Angstfest (the official Book Bash afterparty). Thanks to Gallery, S.C. Stephens and K.A. Linde, the party was a HUGE success and an absolute blast. Dancing like I’ve only seen in movies, and I’m thrilled that we have video and pictures that captured those memories forever (I’ll be posting those shortly). I can’t wait to show you!
Colleen Hoover’s “Losing Hope” is LIVE on Amazon right now! :)
Losing Hope: A Novel is live as we speak!!
Holder’s POV (from Hopeless) but with a revealing look into his own past, too. This was a fantastic heartfelt look into the man we fell so hard for. I had a lot of “ahhhhhh okayyyyyy” moments in this one, that helped make their story complete. Whole. I loved it (my review to come).
Just thought I’d announce it in case anyone out there didn’t know it, yet. Yeah right, I know it was on everyone’s radar so this post is probably unnecessary. 😉
Book Review – Come Alive by Karina Halle
Come Alive (Experiment in Terror #7)<– BOOK #7 so those unfamiliar with the series, I recommend you check out these posts, instead: Experiment in Terror Series Reading Order & EIT Intrigued Readers Want to Know…
I have spent my wonderful Sunday cozied up with Dex on the couch and I couldn’t have chosen a better man to spend it with. Er… I mean “fictional” man, that is. 😉 *glances at husband*

Been dying to get to this book, but being that it came out just a few days before Book Bash, it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I was green with envy as my fellow Dex-lovers were swooning and declaring their devotion all over again, reading him together and I couldn’t. But I knew I’d have the last laugh. I’d get to be the girl in our group that gets to experience it for the first time (after everyone else has). I’m always a bit jealous of that girl, but this time it was me! ![]()
My Top Ten Dark Reads
I’ve been asked for a list like this… oh… for about a year now. Ever since I came out with my little “dark read” obsession. What a relief it was to find out I wasn’t alone in my weird thrill.
Dena: any chance you will put together a list of “dark” reads on your blog?
Alicia: She has dark reads…how dark do you wanna go? She’s got the BDSM dark, but if you want darker, there’s a few out there that aren’t on here.
Dena: I loved her recommendation for the captive in the dark series, Comfort Food, etc..
Book Review – Escape From Paradise by Gwendolyn Field
Escape From Paradise
<— Oooooooooh yesssss!! Dark and uncomfortable, just like I like ’em. And I didn’t feel half as guilty loving this one ’cause it’s everything we kidnap-read addicts love, but with a slightly lighter edge to it. It’s not as harsh, or hardcore, and the human “monsters”, while scary, are just not as intense as some of my nightmare stockholm syndrome books, but this is a good thing.
If you think you might have an inclination for a darker read such as the ones we discuss (like this), but you’re nervous, this might be the one to start with.
