The first two in this series were a part of my “dark reads marathon” last year and they were pretty good! I didn’t go as crazy over them, as I did a few of my other “dark-favorites”, but it was certainly an interesting and different look into an kidnapped-turned-human-slave’s world, and I’m curious where #3 will lead us. I would say this series is a gentler version of some of the dark “kidnap” reads we’ve read in the past. (You can check out my reviews here and here).
Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – April 9th 2013
<— Okay so yep. This sounds like it should be my next read. A boxer, a big competition, new adult/adult, and you know… “situations”. 😉 And my friend Joanna just told us she’s reading it now and it’s already giving her chills. Well… okay then!! I’ve just downloaded the sample, and I’m giving it a go!
And! Here are more new releases, including the latest by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Apollyon (Covenant), Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable) by Monica Murphy and Date Me (The Keatyn Chronicles) by Jillian Dodd that so many were anticipating. Okay off I go to crush on Remington Tate.
Book Review – Being Me by Lisa Renee Jones
Being Me (Inside Out)
I’m posting an early review of a book that will only be out in June, but I was just too excited for the “If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy)” follow up. I devoured this review copy that the author sent to me over the weekend. And you know what? I enjoyed it just as much as #1. Dare I say… maybe even a little more? This follow up has just as much mystery and intrigue as #1, but we get even more of that romantic, steamy intensity.
Much is revealed in this book. The first half is more subtle and even-keeled (even though I did experience a few adrenaline rushes). A lot of clue gathering, contemplating, and my favorite part, character growth and all-consuming romance. But the second half regales us with “connect-the-dots” buildup, relieving reveals and my favorite… super-angst!
Lauren Dane – Delicious Series Reading Order
A spinoff of Lauren Dane’s “Brown Siblings” series, the author states:
The Delicious series will feature Gillian’s friends – Daisy – SWAY, Jules – TART, Mary’s book and Raven’s book both out in 2013.
The books are about a group of friends, all set in Bainbridge Island, WA. More info as we get closer. SWAY will be in the CHERISHED Duology with Maya Banks out in August of 2012 and for those of you who wanted an epilogue in Never Enough, you’ll see Adrian and Gillian’s wedding prep in Sway. Sway is contemporary erotic romance with BDSM themes.
