Fully involved in the Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampires series…

I haven’t written any reviews in a week due to the fact that I am reading through the Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampires series (one right after the next, as if they were candy). I just can’t stop. Silly, fun and easy reads, with just enough angst, romance and sexual energy to satisfy!

After each book, I fool myself into thinking I will review it right away, but instead, I procrastinate… right into picking up and indulging in the next one! Hopefully, this weekend I will show some restraint, and catch up with my reviews, and do them all at once. I’m so bad! read more

True Blood news of the day – 06/09/09

True Blood is starting again this Sunday at 9pm! Get your DVR’s ready, it promises to be an exciting season!

  • Aceshowbiz reports that Charlaine Harris will appear in the season two finale of True Blood!
  • Variety.com gives a quick synopsis of this upcoming season. Something about a GRUESOME scene in the 2nd hour of the show. I wanna see! I wanna see!
  • We’ve all been wondering if “Bubba” would be included in the show? Apparently not. While I found him to be quite a *kick* in the books, I was wondering how that was going to work out exactly, show-wise. That, and more on the upcoming season as found on 1o9.com
  • UGO has a list of spoilers for season 2. Don’t click it! I know you want to but don’t!
  • SciFiWire had a great interview with Alan Ball, where he discloses some info about the upcoming season including more on his decision to not including “Bubba”.
  • BuddyTV has more on the show (with a comment from Stephen Moyer about his true life relationship with Anna Paquin, and how it fits in with the show). Personally, I hope the upcoming love triangle (or dare I say, triangleS) will not be omitted from the upcoming seasons…
  • A video interview with Ryan Kwanten (plays Jason). Watch it on The Insider.
  • Exclusive interview with Stephen Moyer (Bill) on Daemon’s TV. Stephen alludes to the upcoming love triangle at the end of season 2 and upcoming season 3 (between Sookie, Bill & Eric). Lots of good romantic, or perhaps in the case of the show, *sexual* tension and I’m happy to hear that Alan Ball appears to be following the book at least on that aspect.
  • DreadCentral has 4 new clips to watch. One includes Eric and Bill (yum!)
  • Six new True Blood “Viral Videos”on MovieWeb

    Latest Vampire news – 06-02-09

    I gathered a bunch of news links ranging from vampire related entertainment to an African blood dish called “Vampire”…(well hey – some of us eat “blood pudding” – who are we to wince?!)

  • A great interview with Guillermo del Toro about his new novel, “The Strain” as found on Stuff.co.nz. Includes a cool description of his fangless vampires (they have stingers!)
  • Cinemablend.com has a sneak peak at the first five minutes of the movie “Blood: The Last Vampire”
  • Examiner.com has an interesting synopsis of the swedish movie “Let the Right One In”. It is described as almost flawless, despite an American remake being in the works.
  • Fearnet.com has a video interview with Sam Raimi about his upcoming movie, Spiderman 4, which will feature the vampire Morbius.
  • BBC America will be airing the show “Being Human” starting Saturday July 25th at 9pm. It is about 3 roommates living together (however, there is, of course, a twist: one is a ghost, one is a vampire and one is a werewolf). Check out a preview on io9.com
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the original movie) is in process of a “remake” (check it out on televisionwithoutpity.com)
  • BBC News reports on a Central African dish called “Vampire” (made of vats of blood! Add some peppers, onions, and spices and we’ve got a meal!)

    Book Review – Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead

    I read these three books in two days! I couldn’t get enough, and the third was the best so far! I think I actually *snarled* a few times at whatever interrupted me out of my reading marathon.

    It is near graduation for our favorite students of St. Vladimir’s Academy, and Rose is now in the last part of her Guardian training (field experience). For the next six weeks she will be assigned to fully guard a Moroi student, and she is thrilled since she is certain she will be assigned to guard Lissa. To her dismay, Lissa’s boyfriend, Christian, is her Moroi. Despite her insistence that the school has made a bad choice, she reluctantly understands their logic and accepts. read more
