Reader Favorites – Julie’s Top Favorite Books List:

Happy Reader Favorites day!! I got this one through one of our Facebook crew, and she loves her edgy “romance” reads 😉 and heart-aches, just like we do!! I know a ton here will agree with her favorites!

Julie: Thought I’d share my favorite series….in no particular order.

So many books…so little time. 🙂

Lauren: I’ve read all but the Original Sinners Series. What genre is it?

Julie: It’s about an erotic author, Nora Sutherlin and her sadist Priest, Soren. OMG!!!! So good, but you MUST read in order. These books have it all. F/F, F/M, M/M, M/F/M….not for the faint of heart. Kinky, raunchy, loving and simply one of the best series I’ve ever read. read more

What to Read After On the Island – “Stranded on a deserted island” romance books…

When it comes to love stories, there is nothing more fun than two people (strangers, or enemies, or maybe one of ’em being an unrequited love-secret admirer) to be thrown together and… stuck together for whatever reason.

This is a “genre” that I am SO drawn to and the ones I read, I simply can’t forget. ‘Cause while it “sounds” romantic (escaping the stresses of our fast-paced lives and living in seclusion and “peace” in a tropical paradise), truth be told, in reality? It’s a total nightmare! Especially those where “they” are stuck in some sort of a “deserted” area. Whether it be on a deserted island (plane crash or sinking boat), completely snowed in, in a bare-minimum cabin, or even stuck in an elevator, there has been some exciting, scary and especially STEAMY intensity going on. read more

Book Review – Withering Hope by Layla Hagen

One of my favorite genres!!! The whole… “surviving in a deserted *area* with a stranger” thing. I LOVE THAT! ‘Cause it’s already sheer torture considering you’re in “survival” mode and in a desperate state, but to have to depend on (or trust!) someone you don’t really know (or know at all), to aid in your survival is even scarier.

Or maybe more exciting. To me? More exciting. ‘Cause WHO the heck wants to be on a deserted island, or stuck in the thick of the rainforest, or be in a dystopian world (where it’s all about survival of the fittest)… alone? To be with someone you don’t know at all, and maybe don’t like or trust, is scary. But to be completely alone? Even scarier, if you ask me. Best with a “partner” but let’s hope he or she is a true teammate. read more

It’s Dana’s turn and she sent us her TOP TEN!!! And these aren’t just her top ten… these are SO good, that they are also her re-read list!

I see quite a few of my own favorites (I think you’ll recognize some of yours too)!! But ONE that I haven’t read and so on my TBR list it goes!!! I mean, if ALL of her favorites are all of my favorites, and there is ONE on her list that isn’t on mine, yet? MINE!!! And it’s that one over there to the left. Bad reviews that actually make you want to read the book!

You guys know I ran across a review yesterday amongst the new releases that made me raise an eyebrow and go… “hmmm…” maybe I wanna read this? Two brothers that hate each other? She’s “mated” with one (I think for alpha-political reasons), but really wants the other and things get “hefty” in the bedroom?

This was the one:

First Beast by Faye Avalon <— THE LESS-THAN-STELLER REVIEW KINDA MAKES ME WANNA READ IT. LOL!! It has only one review so far and not a favorable one, yet the review actually makes it sound super-steamy-tumultous-good. ;) read more
