Sins and Needles (The Artists Trilogy Book 1)
Okay so I fell in love three times this weekend, and we’ll start with two characters right out of this book. Well to be fair… one of the characters, I’m still in crush mode over one of ’em, ’cause I just realized something. I was so focused on one thing, that I was missing something else.
That fact alone turned this fast-paced, adrenaline pumping steamy story into a potentially heart-wrenching series to come. And by fast-paced, I mean car chases, the Vegas strip, bad boys and one very bad girl. With a love/hate relationship that started long ago and just picked up some serious speed. Amidst the chaos and mayhem, I have a feeling some hearts won’t get out alive (along with a few lives. Yep! It’s one of those).

*spoiler alert* While I don’t give anything away in this review, in terms of twists and reveals, I DO work through my feelings of one of the most important parts of the book. The hero/villain. Skip this review if you haven’t read book #1 yet, and check out that review instead. And if you haven’t read #2, but you’re going to start, I dunno if you read this review yet, either.
Beware… this is probably the longest “review” I have ever written, and it’s mostly just me arguing with myself. LOL! 😉
Consequences
Okay… how to start this review other than with, my first reaction upon ending the book. “What the…? O.M.G!” And then, I did a quick search for a certain name to confirm what just happened… happened. And then I repeated it. “O.M.G!”
This is NOT a love story. Or maybe it is… or I dunno? I’m a mess. This is like a Lifetime movie on steroids. It’s twisted, it’s scary, it’s just… it’s a crazy story and exactly the kind of thing I love to read when I need that jolt. It’s about obsession, control, lack of control, being forced to surrender the most basic thing that we take for granted. Ourselves. Our choices. Our freedoms. And the “hero” or I should say anti-hero? Actually no. The villain. That seemingly perfect, gorgeous wealthy tycoon that has it all, but that is obviously so broken.
Reaper’s Property
A really good bad-boy biker book!! Exactly what I’ve been looking to read, since loving Kristen Ashley’s “Motorcycle Man” and Madeline Sheehan’s “Undeniable“. And the fun part? The author is one of our very own fellow readers that we all talk to on a daily basis. Surprise!! She’s been an author with books published by Ellora’s Cave for awhile now. Who knew!? Well, I sort of did, but I just recently found out. And she’s one heck of a biker-book enthusiast, so we really lucked out when she decided to take our plea for “more motorcycle club reads” into her own hands.
