My friend and I read this one together awhile back and it’s darkish tone kinda freaked us out. At the time, I didn’t officially review it, ’cause my reading focus was on a more angsty romance level (and this has it!), but now that I know so many of us delight in romance books with a dark aura, I realize this one is right up our reading alley!
I felt him pause though I refused to look up. I’d learned a long time ago how to survive in Hell. The less I interacted with him the better.
It’s time for another “What to Read After…” list, and this one has some of my absolute forever-favorites! This list could easily have been called…
“What to read after Hopeless/The Sea of Tranquility/Edge of Never…”
I have been asked over and over again for some suggestions, and I’ve found with many of our fellow readers, if you loved one of ’em, you’ll love ’em all.
I’m choosing to name it “What to Read After Hopeless” though, ’cause:

A refreshing take on the rich “bad girl” story. I was hesitant at first, thinking this might be one of the “same-y” types where the love of a good man changes the typical mean girl, and I worried that I might not connect to her (even knowing that… of course, her growth and self-realization would eventually become the main focus). I expected that it would become that way through a more melodramatic, angsty feel, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Great… no… gorgeous writing, and it had a certain depth. While there was that beautiful man that made me (and her) swoon, it was her new situation that opened her eyes… and her heart. I went into this not having a clue about where the story was going (simply because I “expected” a certain outcome by the title alone) and didn’t investigate further. I simply went with the delighted recommendations…
Collide: Book One in the Collide Series
I asked for something that would make me fall in love, and boy was it delivered…
Jodi: Collide about did me in the other day. I was sick with the flu and stayed in bed all day to read it.
Joy: Maryse….definitely listen to Shelly and check out Collide. It was so good. Started it in the evening and stayed up until 1:50 am and finished.
Megan: I read Collide this week and fell in love!
Maryse: 48% into Collide and I just got that awesome deeeeeep stomach dip. I’m reeeeally liking the tension in this.
Recommended quite a few times, and I know book #1 has been on our freebie/bargain list recently. I got it! 🙂
Raelene: Hello! I just read Access All Areas by Alice Severin and Looooved it … I can’t remember where I first discovered this little gem so pardon me if it was from your blog! If you have not yet read it, enjoy!
Christine: I just picked up this book yesterday and could NOT put it down. It is very similar to Fifty Shades of Grey but with a FREAKIN’ HOT ROCK STAR!! I love the authors writing style. There’s such intensity and depth behind the characters and the sex scenes… I was smiling ear to ear reading this book and didn’t want it to end. I would reate 4.75-5.
