I read this… back in December of 2011! After reading and loving Christian Grey, I was adamantly looking for more “like him”. Back when I was fairly “new” to the darker side of books. Well, I mean… I’m quite familiar with horror novels. Love them even. But this is a different kind of scary. Has all of the elements of a thriller (secretly stalking a young woman, kidnapping her, emprisoning her, and training her to be a submissive. A slave, even, for eventual sale.) Scary right!!??

Book Review – The Redhead Revealed by Alice Clayton
The Redhead Revealed
This book won me over completely. I loved it (significantly more than the first book (The Unidentified Redhead). Don’t get me wrong… the first was fantastically fun, and I thought I loved it, but this one… for me, blew it away. And together? They are the perfect book set. A great, easy, and eventually, emotionally involved read. (but if you haven’t read book #1, go read that review first).
As funny, cute, quirky and steamy as the first one was, it was also…. hrmmm… well, almost movie perfect. Witty, silly, and sweet. Everything was well timed, and it was fun. Like a wonderful real-life (but so not) fairytale where the famous actor falls for the unidentified girl. Fun to “live” it with her, and to fall in love with them. Almost like the perfect book. The perfect love story. But there wasn’t much conflict. And I like things to get rough (heartache wise) for a bit. It’s what keeps me up all night panicking in a delirious (but ecstatically thrilled) reading mode.
Book Review – Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

I’ve come cross this book a few times in my search for more angst and while I added it to my “interest” list, I hesitated mostly because it was YA. What? I know right?! I’ve read plenty of YA, so what made this one different? The YA that I usually gravitate to is “older YA”. College aged, 18 or over… you know the drill. The fact that the heroine in the book was only seventeen, had me questioning the potential intensity (or possible lack thereof). Considering a YA author’s delicate (albeit appropriate) approach to realism without extreme detail, I wasn’t sure if this would hold my attention.

They were right. Who’re “they”? Seemingly… all of my fellow readers who read this book before me…’cause it seems like everyone who read it, simply loved it. Over the last month or so, this book series has made frequent appearances on my Facebook page. Frequently recommended, and enthusiastically chatted about each time the subject came up. Another awesome short story that had just enough of everything for me to feel like I got a ton out of it, and wished for more once it was done. This one’s been brought up a few times in my reading past, but I hesitated, due to it’s length.
