About Last Night: A Loveswept Contemporary Romance
Great fairly quick read, but I’ll admit it took me until 35% to 40% to get really into it. Once I hit 40% I was golden, so if you can get over the initial “reading hump”, the story, especially towards the ends, will steal your heart. If you’ve read The Marriage Bargain, this one is very similar in feel. Not exactly the storyline and the character issues, but certainly the romantic mood, and story progression has that similar emotional touch.

Oh boy! My husband just called me saying he heard something on the radio about someone getting splashed with barbecue sauce ’cause of something that has to do with Fifty Shades of Grey. He said…
“I think the guy read it and didn’t like the book or something, so he splashed someone with BBQ sauce.”
Err…. say what!? LOL! So while on the phone with him, I did a search and sure enough… I found it here on BarstoolSports.com, and here is the original news article on The Telegraph.

Soooooo SWEET!! I loved this book, and once I hit the halfway point, I couldn’t put it down. At first I kept comparing the beginning (this couple’s initial connection) to book #1 (Defying the Odds), and I wasn’t sure this second installment would live up to the romantic intensity of the first.

As I sorted through all of my book memorabilia today, I realized that I have paperbacks EVERYWHERE! So, to ease up on my book clutter, I decided to start giving some away. And here’s how I’ll do it. I’ll find an old book review from way back when I first started, and give away my copy of the book that I read to write the review.

Hey! I have a funny memory to tell you guys about! Once upon a time, in 2009, when I went to the Romantic Times Convention in Orlando, I was strictly a paranormal romance/urban fantasy fan. Had no real clue about the other erotica & romance genres out there (as I had been a “horror” fan before that). But boy was I in for an awakening!
As I was walking around the signing tables, approaching my favorite authors, and getting to know some knew ones, I was handed a trinket (I had been given cute bookmarks, pens, buttons and all sorts of great promotional goodies from the various authors I spoke with). So as I was about to inspect the cold metal item in my hand, I looked at the author’s name tag, looked down at her display table and asked what she wrote. She smiled sweetly and said “BDSM” with a slight mischievous tilt of her head. I blinked, looked down at my trinket, and *blushed* furiously as I realized what I was holding.
