- Becoming his Monster (Playing with Monsters Book 3) <— CRISTINA LOVED THIS ONE!
Cristina: I’m currently reading book 3 the Playing with Monsters series by Amelia Hutchins. I loved the Fae Chronicles series, but stopped after Ryder and Syn’s story a few years back.

Happy Friday! So ready for the weekend. Birthday celebrations for us this weekend as well. Our oldest is a year older tomorrow! We will be working a swim meet to celebrate. Lol! Not only that, no worries. 😂
I’m still reading House of Hollow, but it’s not as long as the books I’ve been reading lately and it’s really capturing me so it’s going quick. I hope to finish this weekend. And then….I dk. My mood is hard to pin down so we’ll see what’s next. Contenders- White Smoke, The Maidens, The Inheritance Games, Kingdom of the Wicked, and The Unhoneymooners.
Was surprised Just Ingredients (where I get my protein powder) released a hot chocolate powder today so you bet I grabbed it! I still have both my protein powders, they’ve lasted a long time and still loving them- so when she pointed out all the crap in the store ones, which, I knew, I’ve occasionally homemade some for healthier, non tummy hurting purposes and surprised me with releasing her own, sold! And the best part? There’s collagen, tumeric, lion’s mane, and ashwagandha in it. I had to google the health benefits of the last 2, but such simple things with a better pay off and great taste if going off my last 2 purchases as proof. I was craving hot chocolate last night and can’t wait!
You know what I need though? Christmas gift ideas. This year is a doozy in the uninspired department. Maybe because I’ve had such a bummer year and have been so overwhelmed lately? I dk. But, yes, the Christmas movies? Hallmark? Christmas cookies and comfy clothes and blankets? I’m ready. But the decorating, no. The shopping and planning of gifts, nada. I feel like the house is overstuffed full of unused toys and clutter and I see no need for more. And worse, there seems to be no real wants from any of them either.
Ditto!!!!!
I am out of fun imagination when it comes to cool unique gifts…
Personally, the only thing I want is pajamas. Oversized (slightly hanging off of me) pjs in winter mode and summer modes.
LOL 😂 😆 😝
I want books. Or a gift card and a treadmill. Practical things. 😂 Besides that, for the rest of the family? 🤷♀️
The magazines aren’t helping inspire either. Or those little screenshots people do for targeted ages or family members. Nothing looks like something I want here. Or they would use.
I’ve already started Christmas shopping – mainly doing it online this year to avoid *germy* crowds. Trying to do it early before stock runs out and making sure I get deliveries in plenty of time to do the fun wrapping bit. I love pretty Christmas wrapping paper and the presents under the tree 😀
For my little grandsons I’m getting kiddie sized gardening tools so they can help their daddy in the garden. Maybe calendars this year for the grown-ups? I know some don’t bother with paper-based calendars any more, but BOM (Bureau of Meteorology Australia) puts out a beautiful calendar every year with incredible photos of weather events. I might order a few of those. https://shop.bom.gov.au
IDK what else yet…. mmmm … have to think.
That’s a good idea with the tools, I bet they’ll like that. Those are beautiful calendars also. I’m old school, I suppose, and I do use a paper calendar for everything. It’s so full, I’ve chosen one with more space in the squares for next year. I feel like my phone is unreliable. I just take photos of it when I need to. Lol
