Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – December 15th 2015

I’m reading Lawless (King #3) – the once about Bear. I do think it can read as a stand alone, of course if you know who he is you will feel stronger for him having read the first two (which were about King and Doe). It’s getting through my “gritty” fix.

Nothing has hit the mark quite as much as Last hour of Gann. Still on my mind, that one. Miss my lizard man.

I’m off for two weeks after Friday, so I plan to get caught up on all your great reads and recs that I have missed over the last couple of weeks. Yipee.

I think I completed two books off the book challenge I was going to do, lol. And now new ones are going up for 2016.
I saw one on a blog that is a tbr challenge. So every month you pick a book from your tbr that matches that theme. I think I need to do one like that to actually read some of these books I have.

Bev…Im liking the sound of that challenge. I need to make wading through my huge file of unread books the priority in 2016. I know I’ve got some absolute gems in there waiting to be read, I just keep getting side tracked by new releases and pre-orders.

We should make up a tbr challenge here. We would at least read 12 books out of….*cough cough*
Amy could keep track on one if her spreadsheets, lol.

Speaking of reading old buys…I finally got around to reading Bully by Penelope Douglas…I love it and bought it TWO YEARS ago! I didn’t want to start the follow up book from his POV so I read the new release by the same author, Corrupt, and liked it even better. Love reading gems in my TBR list and reading new releases.

And MichelleS I second The Land of The Beautiful Dead! Great read…and don’t forget Heat by the same author…great reads.

I read Hearts in Darkness YEARS ago (like, 2012???) and can’t believe it took so long for a follow up! I have to re-read to get back into the story line.

Don’t miss Kresley Cole’s Game series only 2 books currently out. Not PNR. Steamy! Lara Adrian coming out next year with a new steamy series. Well I read The Man That I Love, took a break tor a short book, now I guess I will move to the second.
Waiting on Hearts of Darkness until I get the second and read both right through.

Theresa, Styxx book was pretty heartbreaking as well but not as many tears as Acheron that’s for sure! Although, I noticed that Sherrilyn Kenyon is making her plots just as complex as J.R. Ward with the BDB 🙁

Honestly, I never went the Nick route, it really bothered me how he turned away *spoiler*….. ya know his whole reaction.

Haven’t read Anna Strong Series, just looked it up though.

Amy, I did nothing but supply the peanuts. I honestly only know of one classic PNR series I’ve yet to read, the Faith Hunter series. Anyone have another that I might not have?

Anna Strong series? I just read the synopsis and will have to go through my other apps, but I think I’ve read it. The doctor thing sounds super familiar.

Reyes is awesome. The Charlie Davidson series is awesome. Alright, that said, I wouldn’t call it a classic. It’s not an old enough series. Good, just not that old. *thinks* Closest thing to it is the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson. High on humor, but I like the CD books more. 😀

Huh, I don’t know. CD series still would be too new. Maybe? Also, it’d have to be books that have impact. There were a lot of books that came out in 2008-2007 etc that weren’t that big of a deal. It sounds like a fun project!

I have a hard time keeping my head straight between paranormal romance and Urban Fantasy. To me I i just don’t think what the category. For example I Think Laurell Hamilton is under Horror. Btw, I really wish Laurell would get back to writng like in the beginning, she can’t get her writing out of her personal stuff. Just saying.
I said classics, but only because their were so many before Twilight. Then after that people just got hooked and started reading anything close.
And honestly I started spreading my wings and haven’t read allot I have but haven’t read yet. Uhhh! Like Karen Marie Moning.

Oh yeah how could I forget Kelley Armstrong Otherworld series, i am always hunting anything at all in that series. In fact preordered two books for January.

The series is now complete as far as CH, though she’s going to write a secondary character’s story. However, I gotta say, OMG, so good and exciting. I fell for a TOTAL bad guy secondary. He’s someone who irl I’d run from. He’s proof of ONLY in books. *grins*

The Goblin King is just SOOOO boring, I stopped reading it. The novella was a hundred times better. Hell on Heels is funny. Ridiculous and pure silly, but good.

Oh Ela I LOVED The Children of the Moon books too! No one ever mentions them so you got me all excited 😀 I stalked her site for so long hoping she would write more books but it looks like that is not happening.

The MAC palette is nice but I have over half the colors I think but is a fantastic price!

Jennifer, I forgot to respond that I looked up Heat by R Lee Smith and it looks completely different again…where does she come up with this stuff but I’m in! I want to read it soon and everything else she has written for that matter.

Ooo yeah I’m reading it Fabi…disturbing and gritty I like sometimes to change it up. Still haven’t read Life of Anna but want to. You need to read both The Last Hour of Gann and The Land of the Beautiful Dead. Both were sooooo amazing and different…and long but really addicting! The character development especially is top notch.

What are you comparing to Life of Anna???? I loved that series!

I miss Dante the most…that scene that causes him to go crazy (and made me cry) I will never forget! I searched a lot for books similar to that series and the closest I found to that feel was Amy Lane’s Little Goddess series. I still look for the male harem thing in pnr/fantasy as a guilty pleasure…oh well I admit it 😉

I mean usually no brainer for me, but Mercy is one of my very favorite heroines.

It’s definitely tense and what I expected, but she isn’t what I thought she’d be. Totally interesting and I’m only on chapter 3. After an awesome book, I need the light and fluffy or else the next book will just be a disappointment.

Read Rommies last night and didn’t like it. I didn’t like the writing and the charactares were like teenagers when in reality they were in their mid-twenties. A 1.5/5 for me.

OMG Michelle YES!!!! Dante!!!!!! And that book where someone did something to her *spoiler* and it gutted both her and Dante *spoiler* I cried!!!!!!!!!! How is it that not more PNR fans know of this series, I always wondered??? Yes it’s different but that’s the awesome part of PNR! You can create worlds beyond our imaginations!!!! Now you’re making me want to re-read the whole series! Although, I wasn’t to crazy with how Sunny chose to finish off the last book.
