BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! Erin Watt’s Twisted Palace: The Royals JUST WENT LIVE!! ➔➔➔➔➔➔➔➔

<— OH YESSSSSSS!!! JUST WENT LIVE & I ONE-CLICKED IT SO HARD!!!!! Black Swan Affair is that crazy sounding one that I posted about a few days ago. So you can bet this is what I’m reading now!!!

“He was always meant to be mine. He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me—us—the day he married my sister instead of me.

So I did the only thing a girl like me in my position could do.

I got my revenge. I married his brother, Kael.

Now we’re one big happy f*cking family.”

Tee hee!!!! OH YOU KNOW this is gonna be fun!!! BRING IT!!! 😛

Sarah: I just finished and it was excellent. Actually left me speechless

Maryse:  I LOVE speechless!!! I wanna be speechless too! 😀

Sarah:  Still speechless. How can I write a review. “Wanna be speechless too? Read this book.”

Stephanie: Oh I can’t wait to read!!

Nancy: Omg. I just bought ANOTHER book. To add to the ridiculous pile I already can’t read. I need an intervention.

Rebecca: I am going to read this!!!!!!!

Sharon: Oh yeah . . . Right up my alley!

Angie: …Can’t wait it’s going to be a hot mess

Look at what else just went live!! P.S. NO JOKE… I want to read every book on this list right now.

  1. Black Swan Affair by K.L. Krieg <— LIVE!!! WHAT I’M READING NOW!!
  2. Twisted Palace: The Royals by Erin Watt <— LIVE!!! (I LOVED book #1 and now can catchup!! Here is my review of Paper Princess).
  3. Royally Screwed (The Royally Series Book 1) by Emma Chase <— ALSO JUST WENT LIVE!!! HE’S AN ARROGANT PRINCE & SHE’S A NO-NONSENSE “COMMONER” WAITRESS… and there’s the whole paparazzi deal!!! AH IT SOUNDS SO GOOD!!! He’s “…wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant―hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you. Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face…” AND THEN!!! “…Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be. There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny…“
  4. The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely <— LAUREN BLAKELY JUST WENT LIVE EARLY ALERT!!! HE’S A SINGLE FATHER & SHE’S HIS NANNY… “My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over…“
  5. The Promise by Melody Grace <— TEARJERKER JUST WENT LIVE!!! Oh boy this blurb!!!!!!! My heart already aches… “Perfect for fans of ‘Me Before You’ and ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, ‘The Promise’ brings together two people searching for a love that can overcome tragedy. A heartbreakingly romantic novel that challenges us to live – and love – every day as if it were our last.”
  6. Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely (Sweet Love) by Kira Archer <— LIVE!! THE HOTTEST GUY IN THE CLUB LANDS IN HER LAP ALERT! “With a month off from culinary school, Jenny Boyd has some serious party plans. Especially when the hottest guy in the club literally lands in her lap. He’s 6’2” of cocky, sexy, man-candy, and just as commitment-phobic as she is…” (and it can be read as a standalone)
  7. The Right Kind of Guy (What Happens in Vegas) by Kerri-Leigh Grady <— LIVE!! AUTHOR IS AT A BOOK SIGNING & MEETS HER SUPER-FAN’S ALPHAHOLE BROTHER ALERT! Tee hee!! This sounds just WAY TOO FUN!!! “Romance novelist Kelsey Spencer doesn’t believe in love, and she’s tired of faking her way through happily ever afters. Determined to change things up, she heads to the Las Vegas Romance Lovers Convention. But somewhere between half-naked cover models and hot Navy SEALs, Kelsey’s plans derail… Especially once she meets über-fan Jasmine Grant…and Jasmine’s über-hot alphahole brother, Aaron...”
  8. Behind Closed Doors by Lisa Renee Jones <— NEW LISA RENEE JONES BOOK JUST WENT LIVE!!! I LOVE the premise!! She tries her hand at “auction-hunting” to make extra money, and comes across a valuable poker chip… and now a famous poker player is a little upset… And there’s been a bit of confusion on whether this is a new book or a re-release. This is a NEW STORY (not a re-release) and the author gives us some info right here. She says: “It started as a free short story on the Storage War auctioneers site and then I expanded it to 85k. It stands alone but it does has some clues in it for my Careless Whispers readers...” and it’s “…a brand new gripping and provocative novel that ties into her bestselling Careless Whispers and Inside Out series. You can enjoy this as a standalone, but fans of Careless Whispers and Inside Out will get an exciting glimpse of who Ella really is and some of the secrets she’s been hiding from everyone she knows…”
  9. Three Simple Words (Kingston Ale House) by A.J. Pine <— JUST WENT LIVE!!! SHE’S A BOOK BLOGGER & HAS A BOOK STORE & SHE HATED HIS BOOK… “I know where to find my happily ever after—between the pages of a romance novel. It’s why I sell books, why I blog about them, and why I’ll never get disappointed by love.  So what if my brother’s best friend from high school is now a bestselling author? Or that he just blew back into town on a Harley, filling out a pair of jeans like he never did before? Or that he’s agreed to do a signing at my bookstore on such short notice? Because despite all his adoring female fans, I kind of hated his book…” (YAY!!! I love the sound of this one too, and it can be read as a standalone)
  10. Savior (First to Fight Book 4) by Nicole Blanchard <— NEW STANDALONE & SHE’S IN HIDING ALERT & THE COP THAT HELPS HER!! “I lost everything when I testified against my fiancé for the murders of five women. After the jury delivered a life sentence, I ran. I hoped if I could disappear, maybe the horror he caused would, too. When I return to Florida for the first time after his conviction, I’m determined to face my fears and get my life back. Then, a woman is murdered and I’m the only one who believes her death features the same signature as those I’m trying so hard to forget...”
  11. Chasing the High by Beth Michele <— LIVE! M/M ROMANCE ALERT!! HIS FIANCÉ LEFT HIM AT THE ALTAR… “What better place to be alone while nursing my broken heart than in paradise, right? Two weeks of sandy beaches and tranquil waters to quietly rethink my life. That’s what I thought anyway–until Drew Mariano came along and shook everything up. He shook me up. He made me forget myself. And that was good. He made me want to take chances. And that was hard. He made me feel high on life. And that was amazing. But I was afraid…the higher I got… the harder I was going to fall…“
  12. 27 Lies: Luke’s story (The Truth About Love) by MJ Fields <— LIVE!!! And OH WOW I dunno if I should have read that blurb, ’cause this is the sequel (or HIS POV), but WOW. Blurb jolt for sure!!! I skimmed a review and this main character (hero?) is supposedly the ULTIMATE JERK. YAY!!!! Don’t read further if you haven’t read book #1 (which is here ➔ 27 Truths: Ava’s story (The Truth About Love Book 1) but… here’s a snippet from this synopsis: “One bad dream, one I love you, one night of pushing her the hell out of my life, one drummer stealing her heart, and one explosion took everything away. Lies are told. Lies are unraveling. Lies are going to destroy. These are my truths...”
  13. Belonging by Shiloh Walker <— LIVE! NEW VAMPIRE BOOK ALERT! “Being a vampire can suck. Corinne Lewis will be the first to testify to that. She went through the “change” but it certainly didn’t change her all that much. Still shy, quiet and a wallflower, she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the vampires or other paranormal creatures at Excelsior, the school that trains the elite Hunters…“
  14. Take Me With You by Nina G. Jones <— JUST WENT LIVE AND OMG DARK READ ALERT!!!!! PSYCH-THRILLER?? He’s stalking her… and then he takes her. “It’s just my imagination—that feeling of being watched. That those icy eyes— a vivid turquoise with a distinct golden fleck—aren’t watching me. It’s just stress. I am the person everyone relies on. Maybe that’s why I haven’t been feeling so content with my life lately. Why I dream those eyes belong to someone who can tear me away from all of my responsibilities. But these are just shameful fantasies, never meant to breach reality. Then one night, the dream comes true, only it’s a horrific nightmare. Now, I only have one task: survival.“
  15. Hat Trick by Kristen Hope Mazzola <— LIVE!!! HOCKEY STAR ALERT! “Isn’t it funny how guys hit on you when they know you’re not available, but when you’re single they won’t give you the freaking time of day? I guess the game is more fun that way. And for the captain of my brother’s team, that’s exactly what I was. A hat trick is three goals in hockey…“
  16. Wake to Dream by Lily White <— JUST WENT LIVE!!! LILY WHITE DARK READ PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT!!! “Plagued by sleep disorders since her childhood, Alice had grown accustomed to the nightly dreams that terrorized her. She woke up in strange places. She was paralyzed by fear and hallucinations. She screamed each night at unseen specters and evil faces. When her sister, Delilah, goes missing, Alice’s dreams take on new meaning...”

Book Review – All In (Full Tilt Book 2) by Emma Scott

By 4 Comments

All In (Full Tilt Book 2)
An absolute healing, fulfilling, sweet and perfect story that was everything I’d hoped for (and come to expect) from this author. In fact, I was delighted at the little “butterfly” touch that she graced us with, in this conclusion to a beautiful love story. Gorgeous, heart wrenching, and will completely mend your heart, in the best of ways.

In fact, you CAN read this one, without reading book #1 (you can understand it as a standalone without issue), but there is nothing more complete than knowing where these wonderful characters came from, what they have been through, and the poignant connection that ties them all together. And specifically, why we needed this book so badly.

Celeste: I just finished All In. I’ll just copy and paste my comment I posted on Emma Scott’s Facebook page – that kind of sums it up for me, lol.

Oh my God. I’m not sure whether to be mad at you, or if I should be professing serious love for you. I feel so melodramatic in saying this, but oh well, here it goes, anyway. You completely destroyed me. Took me apart, systematically, by pieces. But then you rebuilt me… So I think it’s love. Thank you for this story. Thank you so much.

*sigh*

Just perfect. A true romance, with all of the angsty touches that keeps tugging at our hearts, a look into realistic “side” characters, and the pain and growth that comes from such personal experiences.

Now… BEFORE I GO ON… ANYONE THAT HASN’T READ BOOK #1 but that wants to… LOOK AWAY NOW!! DO NOT EVEN READ THE BLURB FOR THIS BOOK. I LOVED book #1, and loved this one just as much, so whatever you do, DO NOT spoil this deeply emotional story for yourself. Do not read further below, just start reading Full Tilt right now! 😉

Cheryl: I’m also eyeing Full Tilt since All In releases tomorrow…

Maryse: Cheryl… you must read Full Tilt!!!! It’s a complete book, except I realize “All In” is DEFINITELY a sequel and you must NOT read the blurb or even that book, until you’ve read #1. ;) Mind you, if anyone stumbles on #2 first and reads it, they’ll still be able to follow… it’s just much more poignant after experiencing #1.

Cheryl: …I just finished Full Tilt and I am a SOBBING mess! I kinda *hate* you right now. Beautifully written, but gah I just, ugh, feel so devastated!!! Gonna look at All In…

Maryse: Move to ALL IN Cheryl!!!! ASAP!!!

R. Renee: Cheryl, if you’ve read the blurb, you pretty much know what you’re in for. Full Tilt hurts, but All In heals :)

So what’s it about?

After the beautiful love story between Jonah and Kacey, Kacey is trying to pick up the pieces but losing herself all over again. Writing beautiful songs, and singing in a small bar in New Orleans, crying and drinking herself into a stupor, she’s back to who she was before Jonah found her and helped her heal. Minus her past sexual exploits of course, because Kacey’s heart is broken, and she just wants Jonah to come back to her. Badly.

And it’s Theo… Jonah’s protective brother, that comes to her rescue.

She’d fallen out of the goddamn sky like a bomb, blowing up our careful life, smashing routines and disrupting Jonah’s plans. First I was scared she’d leave him, and when it was clear she wasn’t going to, I was scared her staying would hurt Jonah too much.

Still reeling from his own pain, but always there for those he loves, Jonah’s specific request haunts him,

“The favor…I want from you… Remember?”

I sat forward in the chair. “Name it.”

“Kacey…”

…he knows he needs to help Kacey. Their connection was tentative at first, but is set in stone now, and he won’t let her fall.

When he spoke, his voice was a mountain.

“I’m staying here.” He knelt beside me and picked up my head. His large hands held my face, brushed the hair from my eyes and made me look at him. His hard gaze implored me to give in. Let go. But the terror of jumping in the river and confronting my grief wouldn’t let me. I needed to drink. I needed to stay drunk, or I’d die.

I’d drown.

And together, they pick up their shattered pieces.

Absolutely extraordinary, and EVERYTHING we look for in a profound, epic love story. It spans various important issues with one being the center of them all.

She’d lost weight. So had Dad. His eyes followed my mother constantly, but rarely looked at me. He hardly spoke to me, either. We’d never been close, but Jonah always bridged our gap. Without him, an abyss lay between me and my father. A distance neither of us made an effort to close.

Goddammit, Jonah, come back and fix all this because I f**king can’t.

Do yourself a favor and read it from the start, and feel every single moment, growing with these relatable, flawed, and yet moving characters.

Every night, I called one final thought into the deep darkness: Come back to me.

And just before the dark consumed me, a whisper returned: My angel, let me go…

Gah… I want to cry so hard. *sob*

I’m telling you, this touching “duet” is it!! You’ll never forget it.

4.5 stars!!!

P.S. I’m giving 5 stars to this “duet” as a whole.

P.P.S. Thank you to the author for sending me this review copy!

Reader Favorites – Fabi’s Favorite Low Angst Romance Books

By 96 Comments

Okay so… I know there are some amongst our reading crew that are hard-core thrill seekers (at least… book-wise). We want heartache, we want angst, and we want crazy thriller twists that we don’t even see coming and take our breath away. We might even… *gasp* eek accept a non-happily-ever-after. Or… one to be determined by the reader. Yep. We’re out there, and we’re in full force!

However… there are some that read for the pleasure and tranquility of a pure love story, JUST for the delight of that love story. I love those too. I DO. But some of us love ’em even more. And so when R. Renee made this special request, our own Fabi came to the “low-angst” rescue! And maybe these will be just up your alley, too.

R. Renee: I have a friend who likes Erotic Romance, NOT erotica, but hates sad and angst. All angst. I know, right? I’m not even sure how we’re friends LOL. I thought of Tangled, but what are some other ones? I was going to go down Leslie’s book list, but you like angst, right? Any suggestions anyone?

Fabi: I have a ton of those on my read list. But you can’t have any kind of a romance novel without a single drop of angst. Still, many of my favs are low angst. Here are a few, but really, I bet I have tons and tons more.

Shine Not Burn by Elle Casey <— “Omg I just finished the blackjack scene in chap 9 of Shine. I laughed so hard that I had tears streaming down my face and couldn’t catch a breath. Maybe it’s just be but it really tickled my funny bone…” AND THEN… “Really good! I’d classify it as a romantic comedy. I’ve never laughed so much reading a book. The dialogue is fantastic. This is a prolific writer too so I’m going to have to check out some of her other work to see if its all as good as this one.”

Slade (Walk Of Shame #1) by Victoria Ashley <— “So good! Hot, steamy, sexy guys. Thanks for the heads up on it. Was great.”

Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward <— “…here’s what I thought of Cocky Bastard: I am so impressed with both the female and male POVs in this book. I could swear Aubry and Chase are real people. 5 big, beautiful, love story stars for this one A big thank you to both authors for making me feel all girly, and mushy, and starry eyed. Books like these are the chocolate truffles for my soul. …Cocky Bastard is such a girly book. Pink and glittery and soft and sweet. I loved it.”

Bossman by Vi Keeland <— “I’m at 45% in Bossman and I can’t put it down. It reads so smoothly that I can’t stop going from page to page no matter how late it’s getting.” and then… “...5 stars for me. Vi Keeland wrote the perfect boyfriend. I need to put her books in my feel-good category. They never fail to make me happy.”

To Love Jason Thorn by Ella Maise <— “@69% The first kiss! The sexual tension has not let up for a single page. Sheesh! This book is insanely good.” and then… “I 5 star loved it! A perfect love story with perfect characters. Every one of them came alive for me. …an NA with loads of steam and sweet and cute… was one of my favs this year.”

From Scratch (The Blue Plate Series) by Rachel Goodman <— “I just finished reading From Scratch by Rachel Goodman. It was the perfect Sunday read. Full of southern charm and feisty characters. I love Lillie and Nick. I love the self discovery and growth they experience. I especially loved the second chance orchestrated to give them the opportunity for it. They were the main characters, but their supporting cast are so well developed that they easily stand on their own and make distinct footprints in the story. So well written. It was a real pleasure to read.”

Beautiful Bastard (The Beautiful Series Book 1) by Christina Lauren <— “I remember being enthralled and reading the Beautiful Bastard series nonstop, without a reminder…”

Monica Murphy – The Rules Series Reading Order

By Leave a Comment

Monica Murphy says those that enjoyed “One Week Girlfriend” will enjoy this series, and book #4 is coming out soon. Plus I love the sound of that blurb! PLUS! Book #1 starts off with the H and h HATING each other. Oooooh. Sounds like fun!

About book #1:

When your boyfriend bets YOU in a poker game, you better know when to run…

Bad enough Jade Frost’s boyfriend drags her to an illegal gambling house. Even worse that he actually threw her into the betting pot during an intense round of poker…and lost. Talk about the perfect excuse for Jade to make him her ex-boyfriend.

Now she supposedly belongs to the ultra rich, extremely gorgeous Shep Prescott. He could have anything he wants yet he seems to be in hot pursuit of her. No matter how rude, how snarky, how impossible she acts, it doesn’t stop him. More like her horrible behavior seems to make him want her even more.

When she finds herself starting to fall for him, Jade’s confused. There’s more to Shep than the carefree rich charmer he portrays. No way could he want a serious relationship with her…or could he?

Friday Finds! Today’s book-bargains and five-star reader recommendations!

By 277 Comments

Happy Friday everyone!! I’m finishing up a book today (super-romance and absolutely made for us!!) and will be reviewing shortly, and then I think… maybe time to choose an adrenaline-pumper. I want a fun/scaryish reading weekend. Something dark. Or that has a mind-blowing, super-clever twist that I didn’t see coming. I have a few on my list, but if you have a recommendation for me, I’m all ears!

I’m also thinking something poignant and emotional and life-changing (always unputtdownable and unforgettable), but… *sigh* my wonderful mommy has left me this morning, and headed back to Canada. I think I’m already feeling too melancholy for that. It’s bittersweet, you know? Best time ever, but saying goodbye is the worst. Knowing it’s coming, each day, one day closer and reminding myself… don’t think about it. Just live in the moment. Enjoy each and every moment.

And I did. I had the best couple of weeks with her, celebrating her birthday, Canadian Thanksgiving, experiencing a hurricane with her (although we were safe on the west coast), going on a cooking spree (I cook now, too!! And she’s proud)… and talking books (in fact, I just inherited a paperback copy of Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King all used and read and recommended to me!!! I’m excited!).

But even though I already miss her, and was not ready for the visit to end, I’m so happy to be back to my books. Because no matter if I feel melancholy at times, I’m never lonely when I’m reading a good book. Have you noticed that? She and her friend and I were discussing that very fact… the character’s, the “worlds”, and the stories make us feel always, as if we’re part of an adventure (fantasy, or realistic, romance, or a sweet YA). Part of a group. Part of a family. Yep! They keep us company! 😀

LOOK WHAT WE FOUND!! (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order. Sales listed are for Amazon U.S., however some of the Amazon UK links also reflect the sale!):

I only hope he reads it.”
  • The Wrong Side of Rock Bottom by Jennifer Foor <— LIVE!!! AFTER LOSING HIS WIFE TO DRUG ADDICTION, HE’S TRYING TO GET HIS CHILD BACK… “Rogan Marks lost his wife to addiction. One month later his daughter was taken from him, the court appointing his unforgiving in-laws to raise her. When the system fails him, Rogan will go to extremes to get what’s left of his family back. He knows the risks, and who will come after him, or how the authorities will never stop looking. The only choice for Rogan is to disappear – to hide amongst society.”
  • Sweet Haven (The Sweet Series Book 2) by K.C. Lynn <— LIVE!!!

Seedy company leads him into a chance encounter with Pepper that will change both of their lives forever…“
  • Tonic by Staci Hart <— LIVE!!! SHE’S NO NONSENSE & PRODUCING A REALITY SHOW AT A TATTOO PARLOR ALERT! “When she’s tapped to produce a reality show at Joel’s shop, she doesn’t think twice, just goes in for the kill, as if there were any other way. The second Annika walks into Joel’s shop, he makes it his mission to crack her open, but she’s not having it. He’s all wrong — too crass, too hairy, too un-serious. But it doesn’t take her long to find out there’s more to him than smirks and tattoos.“
  • Tempting Tempo (The Tempest Rock Star series Book 5) by Michelle Mankin <— LIVE!!! ROCK STAR ALERT!!!
  • Southern Pleasure by Kaylee Ryan <— LIVE!!! HE’S TRYING TO KEEP HIS DAUGHTER… “My ex signed over her rights and her family vowed that my daughter didn’t exist. Now that she’s gone, they want my little girl. They’re trying to say I can’t give her what she needs…“
  • Torrid Affair by Callie Anderson <— RECOMMENDATION FOR “WHAT TO READ AFTER ARSEN” and Nay recommends it! (P.S. Welcome Nay!!!! I’m so glad you’re here with us). 😀 Nay: “Ooooh Torrid Affair! I read that last month and really enjoyed it. It should be on the ‘What to read after Arsen’ list! It wasn’t at all what I expected and I think that ended up being a very good thing. Enjoy, Ela!“
  • Bittersweet (True North Book 1) by Sarina Bowen <— SARINA BOWEN ALERT!! This one is super-bargain priced today ’cause book #3 is coming out soon!!
Teri: I just finished Bittersweet by Sarina Bowen. I love her and this one did not disappoint. I actually think it’s the best I’ve read by her. The writing was great, the story fun, steamy and kept my attention throughout. The secondary characters are interesting and I can’t wait to read book 2. Read it in one sitting.
  • The Tutor by K.D. Grace <— HE’S A RECLUSE AND HE HIRES HER ALERT! This is a recent release and Lisa is enjoying it!!!
Lisa: Did anyone else one click, The Tutor? I did, and I’m in the middle of reading it…and phew, I had to stop reading and take a breather, cuz man is it erotic, and I love that broken man!!!! Of course, I can’t read it at work during my down time, cuz well, that’s just not the way I want to be at work, LOL. Just want to know if anyone else is reading along and thinks it’s as amazing as I do!!!
  • Ruin & Rule (Pure Corruption Book 1) by Pepper Winters <— PEPPER WINTERS BULLY BOOK ALERT! Tessa is our resident book-bully addict, and she just warned Amy and I away from this one (’cause as much as we like bully books, sometimes they infuriate us too much and we rant. LOL!! It seems this may be one like that). But if YOU love a good, hardcore bully book, Tessa is enjoying it!

Tessa: I’m insane over jerk Hs who are just mean, bullies, a$$holes…  :P Speaking of jerks, Amy and Maryse, don’t read Ruin and Rule. I love it but you two would have issues like you did with Fear Me. I’m loving it.

Grey: Slides Ruin and Rule up the list…

  • Rainfall by Melissa Delport <— ONE OF MY FAVORITE, MOST UNFORGETTABLE BOOKS EVER! Cristina just discovered one of our absolute favorites, so OF COURSE I’m posting this one on here, to insist you all read it!!!! It’s got a clever twist that had my heart in a lurch!!! (my 4.5 star review)

Cristina: “Rainfall”… just WOOOOOWWWW! I went into this completely blind! I made a promise to myself, not to read any reviews, and I’m SO happy that I didn’t! It’s been a long time since a book has made me weep like a baby, and this one had me SOBBING by the end! I must confess that I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I LOVE the story, but HATE the way it made me feel after reading it. Don’t get me wrong, this is one of the best stories I’ve read in a very long time! It left me with not just a lot of different emotions, but a lot of DEEP feeling emotions. I truly felt this story, all the way to my bones!

I will STILL be thinking about this story for quite some time to come! The relationship develops rather quickly in the beginning, but this story isn’t about the falling in love, it’s about the fight to hold onto it. One of the reasons this story is so unique for me is because I usually don’t connect with a H/h if the connection or relationship is too quick. I always go for the slow burn, so I wasn’t quite sure in the beginning, BUT then there’s the twist and THAT”S what got me, hook, line, and sinker! I’ve come across a lot of books over the past few years that I have liked and even loved, I very rarely come across one that truly guts me. Those are the books that I feel for days or weeks, and even after the feeling has faded, it always arises again at the mention of it’s name. I would love to say more about this book, but it could take away from the next reader’s experience. All I can say, is that this is definitely a 5 star read for me! Thank you Ms. Delport for ruffling my feathers and giving me those feels all over again!!! Phew! It’s time for a drink! ;-)

Cristina: Ladies, I’m still grieving over Rainfall! It’s one book I would LOVE to see on the big screen. It would literally having me SOBBING in the theatres, Notebook style. Grey you SOOOO have to read this one! Don’t forget the wine and tissues!

Jean: Christina, we all feel you with Rainfall…..hang in there.

Maryse: Cristina!!!! Rainfall was one of my most favorite books. EVERY DETAIL I remember… that twist, and that ending *oooooooooomph*!!!! LOVED IT!

  • The Soul Summoner by Elicia Hyder <— LOVE TRIANGLE ALERT and Gloria recommends it! “Hi! I just read the Soul Summoner series by Elicia Hyder. It was fantastic. It is a paranormal romance with a love triangle that you’re not sure how it’s going to go for a few books. Do you know of other series with a similar story? TIA!”
  • The Ground Rules (Book 1) (The Rule Breakers Series) by Roya Carmen <— TWO MARRIED COUPLES and this one MADE CRISTINA CRAZY! Yep… many of us reacted like this, so you know I had to post it! Cristina: “…Ground Rules was another book/series that invoked some very STRONG feelings in me. That series was a freaking emotional yo-yo for me! It’s one of those situations that you’re saying to yourself, “NO WAY would I EVER do something that crazy!” BUT then you’re so darn curious that you can’t help but want to know what happens!! I just knew it was going to be a train wreck and I willingly and eagerly hopped on for the ride! I literally was yelling at my Kindle, several times over…”
  • Patchwhore by Kim Jones <— BIKER BOOK & SHE’S GETTING REVENGE ON HER CHEATING EX BY SLEEPING WITH HIS MC BROTHERS and DG recommends THIS recent release!

DG: So…Patchwhore…is just HILIARIOUS. I love a good “revenge” book. Especially when the ex gets all JERKY…throw in some bikers…some hot and some not…yeah, fun read!

Jan: Huh. Patchwhore. I hate the title and wasn’t going to look at it, but DG now I have to add it to my TBR. *huffs out a pretend annoyed sigh, then winks*

DG: LOVED Patchwhore…will definitely be checking other books by this author…nothing better than a woman scorned seeking “revenge” on her ex…add in a TOTAL biker hottie with a little bit of mystery around him…just DELISH!

Northernstar: I am half way through Patchwhore (I also hate the title) but I am pleasantly surprise at how funny it is. I was thinking that it would be a dark read, but so far it’s quite adorable!

Cait: i just finished patchwhore and I bloody loved it! Cook is such an alpha! It was so Witty at times I just had to laugh out loud!!

A Court of Mist and Fury from A Court of Thorns and Roses series is a MASTERPIECE!! I am jealous of those who haven’t read this series yet because I would love to go back to the beginning and discover the world Sarah J Maas has created. All the characters are worthy of their own books… but the Hero in book 2… there are no words that could come close to describing what I feel for this captivating, multilayered, hauntingly beautiful soul… he is perfection… like top of the list worthy perfection!!! Maryse and fellow book lovers I beg you to shuffle your TBR lists around and put this series close to the top.. like real close *nudge, nudge* It is a series that is too good to sit on a shelf waiting. Yes book 3 is still to come but the anticipation is worth it. …And Feyre the protagonist is a complete badass… she is exactly the type of female character I admire… smart, resourceful, fierce but also loving, kind and gentle. I will stop now ;-D
Theresa: Hey Maryse…just wanted to throw out there an AMAZING reader recommendation…The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas! I just binged read the entire series to date and I could not get enough!  Sarah Maas is now one of my favorite authors…she creates a beautiful world of magic and mystery that is entwined with complex characters and a stunning plot that will leave you breathless.  A 5 star read for sure…I can not wait for the final book to be released!!!!!  Thanks to Sarah Maas for this amazing adventure!Ps- Also read her Court of Thorns and Roses and it was equally as beautiful…looking forward to indulging in the second read…Court of Mist and Fury! I can’t get enough!
