Heidi McLaughlin – The Beaumont Series Reading Order

Rock star series alert, and it looks soooo sweet, and apparently it’s a tearjerker, too!

Ida: I just finished it and loved it… This one should be on your Rock Star list!

Teresa: I’m currently reading Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin.  It’s a great book…5 stars!!!

Kylee: Forever My Girl by McLaughlin — My husband was totally freaked out that I was crying. He asked why I was reading it if it made me cry! Usually he doesn’t ask anymore, he just awkwardly pats my back, but he knew I had just started the book, so couldn’t believe I was already crying!

Jen: I don’t know if you take recommendations here for books. You really need to read Heidi McLaughlin’s My Unexpected Forever. If you have read Forever My Girl this is Harrison’s story. The drummer in the band. I can’t tell you how much I love him. He’s so perfect. Used to be a womanizer until he met Katelyn. A widower raising two twin girls..

Jodi: Ok So I might be a Rockstar Bookwhore but this man does stuff to me!! Seriously he was like oh you want a rockstar I am about to show what a single dad Badass Drummer can do SERIOUSLY EVERYONE NEEDS TO MEET HARRISON!! MARYSE I NEED YOU TO MEET HARRISON!!!!

LOL!!! He does sound interesting, Jodi. Okay, set us up! 😉

About book #1:

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.  I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back. After ten years. I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

      

JB Salsbury – Fighting Series Reading Order

Fighter series alert!! MMA fighters with bad boy reputations… that end up finding that one girl that flips their world upside down. I remember when the first book in the series came out, it had our fellow readers in a frenzy!

Joanna: Claudia you are a goddess!!!! Thanks for raving about Fighting for Flight, because holy sh/t… I’m 25% in and LOVING it!!!! So hot, and such an amazing hero…

LOL!! I admit, I think I was overwhelmed by the heroine’s father and his… “setting in motion the ugly truth of her destiny” and a bit underwhelmed by the romantic tension,  so I put it down for a bit. But after re-reading these reactions, I’m thinking I need to pick this back up, especially now that I know there are more books to come!

Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – September 10th 2013

<—Happy New Book Releases day!! This one sounds angsty and crazy, and it just bumped itself right up my TBR list. Whoa. By an author that’s tried and true with our fellow readers, I have a feeling this one’ll be WAY different in feel from Shine Not Burn, but it still sounds right up my alley.

Plus!! The 3rd and final installment in the “Inside Out” trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones is finally out: Revealing Us and I’ve noted a few more that have caught my eye like… a new “NA read” that has come highly recommended (you’ll see below) 😉 and … OH!! Harper Sloan – Corps Security Series Reading Order

MARCH 15 2023 UPDATE!!! —> BOOK #7 IN THIS SERIES (The Long Way Home (Corps Security Book 7) JUST WENT LIVE!!!!

Many in our reading crew went crazy over the uber-alpha male in book #1, and I still catch ’em bringing him back up, on our Facebook page! And guess what!? Book #2 has just been released!

Shanda: OMG, you have to read Axel by Harper Sloan.  I believe it is her first novel and it is awesome!!!  I could not put it down yesterday!!!  Total Alpha men, just like we like. It is a stand alone but it is going to be a series . All the alpha males are ex marine and are friends and have their own security company and each book is their individual love story the next one comes out next month!

Andrea: Just finished Axel. Loved it.

Lezanda: I read Axel last night and effing loved it!!!

Teresa:  I just finished reading Axel last night also, and I really enjoyed it.  I can’t wait for the other books in this series.  I love, love, love a growling alpha hottie!!

Kandace: Has anyone started Cage by Harper Sloan yet? I’m hearing Cage has a trifecta piercing! Ummmm, yeah.. that sounds delicious! I’m thinking of starting Cage next. I hardcore loved Axel. Cannot wait to meet Cage.

About book #1:

It’s news time! Of course tomorrow is new book release day, but a bunch of news was posted today, so I thought I’d share… a cover reveal, a contest or two, another free read, bargain books, an update regarding ebook corrections, a new series announcement, an early book release that seems to be making many of our crew *squee* and the latest in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie news! 🙂

  • Lisa Renee Jones just announced that the first book in her “Inside Out Trilogy”  (If I Were You) is a free-read right now on XOXO After Dark’s website (Gallery Books)!! Here is the direct link to read it for free (it’s featured on the right hand side of the homepage).
  • Lisa Renee Jones also reminds us that tomorrow, we finally get the highly anticpated (by me!! hehe) conclusion of this crazy trilogy! Revealing Us (Inside Out Trilogy book #3) will finally go live, Maybe at midnight tonight?
  • Christina Lauren just sent me a cooooool link for y’all (for Beautiful Player‘s upcoming release)! P.S. Here’s the series reading order. They say (yes, that’s right, THEY ;)- Christina and Lauren are TWO authors) say:

  • Dakota Johnson (Ana Steele) is seen here with one of our favorite authors, EL James in NY, and E.L. seems to just loves her!!! Check out the entire article on NY Daily News (photos, a video with Melanie Griffith discussing the casting of her daughter and the producer tweeting: “There is a lot that goes into casting that isn’t just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc.,” he tweeted. “So if your favorite wasn’t cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list.   • Ilsa Madden-Mills has just been released her first book “Very Bad Things (Briarcrest Academy 1)” – I haven’t read this one yet, but many of our fellow readers (like Toski) have received review copies and have come by to say that they absolutely loved it! And a few that have just picked it up since last night’s release are also loving it! In fact, Kandace just told me: “Maryse, Toski was right on with this one. It is an amazing book. I feel like I’m right there living the story with Nora. I really can’t believe this is a debut novel.” and Sue agreed saying: “This is one of my absolute favorite books of 2013! Amazing story and just beautifully written!”
  • And!! In case you missed my latest reviews, I had a GREAT reading week last week. Here are all of my latest reviews (one book, I read so intently that my neck and shoulders were aching like crazy, the next morning). Was I just so tense while reading? Or maybe I didn’t bother changing positions for almost 9 hours straight as I read it. I say both. 😉 —>
