Book Review – Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros

Full Measures (Entangled Embrace)
<— Suuuuuuper sweeeeet!!! Charged with emotion, a pleasure to read, and such a soothing balm to my heart after last week’s dark read marathon. Ahhhhh this one had just about everything to give me a fluttering of stomach-butterflies, and still had that touch of heartbreaking angst.

Nothing too extreme one way or another, but it had a bit of everything to keep me interested!

And it came highly recommended by many of our fellow readers!

Renate: Full Measures!!!  great read!!!  great mix of angst, hockey player, heat, drama., sweat…;-)    this read even though it is NA was captivating and enjoyable! read more

Book Review – Reaper’s Legacy by Joanna Wylde

Reaper’s Legacy (Reapers Motorcycle Club)
One of my more favorite biker/MC reads, because not only are these guys everything we love in a “bad boy” hero (or anti-hero), the writing gives them and their lifestyle a true-to-life feel (at least, as far as I know), when it comes to the “biker” world.

The author “keeps it real”, and made sure not to… er… *blushes* redface “pu$$y-foot” around when it comes to their hard-coreness. Okay sure, I’ve read more hardcore and crazy stuff in other biker favorites, but this comes close. read more

Book Review – Leo by Mia Sheridan

Leo (Sign of Love, Leo)
I love this author. I totally do. Because each book that I’ve read from her “Sign of Love” series, I’ve at least… REALLY liked. Such as “Stinger” (porn star meets “serious girl”) and this one, “Leo” (foster kids that grow up together, learn to love and make “young” promises that their futures might not be able to guarantee).

And then… there is that ONE that I loved to the point of wanting to shout it from the rooftops. That would be “Archer” (<— my review). I adored him (and her!!!), I was delighted by the uniqueness of the story, the life experiences and the growth. The characters, their realism, and the realistic progression of their meeting, friendship and… their potential. Plus it had a few VERY angsty parts that I could relate to. That I could believe and that had me all knotted up, stressed and yet delighted the entire time. One of my all-time favorite books, and so beautifully written, I will recommend it to the end of my days! read more

Mine to Lose (Mine to Love)
Here’s another pick from my one of my latest posts “Seventeen books on my TBR List”. It was actually a new release that caught my eye with that synopsis, so it hasn’t been on my TBR list for long, but I couldn’t help but jump in ASAP. I loved the premise. It had an obvious “romantic-angst” factor right from the start, and while I haven’t read that many like it (yet), I’ve been there before with another one of my past favorites. read more
