Amanda Bouchet – The Kingmaker Chronicles Series Reading Order

October 30, 2016 By Maryse Leave a Comment

<— FANTASY ROMANCE ALERT and I’m hearing a great suggestion for “What to read after Golden Dynasty“!!! AND!!! I hear #1 doesn’t end on a cliffhanger even though it’s a series. 😀

Jodi: Amanda Bouchet’s debut novel A Promise of Fire, The Kingmaker Trilogy. I highly recommend this book. It was a real page turner. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the release of the second one. It has fantasy, action, romance, Greek Gods, awesome characters and a fantastic storyline. Doesn’t end in a big cliffhanger either which is an added bonus. read more

Sarah J. Maas – A Court of Thorns and Roses Series Reading Order

04-04-2026 —> BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! TWO MORE BOOKS IN THIS HUUUUUGELY POPULAR SERIES ARE COMING!!

HUGELY POPULAR FANTASY SERIES!!! Steamy, slow-burn, sexy fae and a kick-butt heroine! I’ve one-clicked book #1 and I need to get on it, considering these reader recommendations! 😀

Rebecca: A Court of thorns and roses was a favourite of mine last year as well. It’s fantasy, but there’s a great romance and sex scenes. Some of the best writing ever! …an adult retelling of Beauty And The Beast, badass fairies. Amazing imagery, characterisation, emotional feels. Violence. … A Court Of Thorns And Roses, and A Court Of Mist and Fury have been brilliant on audible. read more

July 6, 2016 By Maryse 5 Comments

Some of our fellow readers right here are finding this fantasy series impossible to put down!

Tessa: OMG, loving this book. Prologue alone I got wrapped up into it due to a great story and characters. I’m only on chapter 5 and have already teared up.

fabi: Tessa, you’re reading Defy! That book is so good. And the twists and turns… Gah!

Tessa: I got lucky! Fabi, OMG, I don’t even want to do anything but read Defy! It’s insane! I guessed one person but not the other. And and and, it’s not done and I just want to read all day. And then get the next book. read more

Book Review – The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon

May 12, 2016 By Maryse 12 Comments

The Bird and the Sword
You just can’t go wrong with a beautifully written tale, penned by such an eloquent author! Amy Harmon is MUCH-loved in our indie book world, and this book is yet another example of her effortless ability to capture our hearts with her words. An author renowned for her captivating prose culminating into stunning stories, delivers, yet again.

I’d recommend this book to anyone, young and old. Such a battle to overcome (in various ways). So much hurt, shame and fear, and yet SO much love and acceptance. What a beautiful message! read more

FANTASY & DYSTOPIAN YA BOOK LOVERS ALERT! This one just had a recent release!!

Tessa: Finished Red Queen and OMG. It was good. Yes, unfinished series, but really good. Tons of emotions and the end, I didn’t expect. Loved it! … I’ve been going through a ton of fantasy and PNR kicks lately. However, Red Queen put my into a fog…

Rebecca: you should definitely give a Fantasy a go! I’ve always been a contemp romance girl with PNR on the side, but my New Years resolution for this year was to read more diverse books, and Fantasy romance has been rocking my world!! …Red Queen (from your list), was simply epic. read more
