By Leave a Comment

Bikers meet Mafia series! Mob princess has to go into hiding with a motorcycle club!!! Two of my favorite “bad guy” worlds mixing into one!!! YAY ME! Sounds like guilty pleasure fun, and book #3 was just released!

Georgia: Just started RIDE by JC Emery. What a beginning .. I’m already hooked. I may need a box of tissues for this series. I’ll keep you posted.

Anna: Just finished Ride (Bayonet Scars).  Loved the mafia world meets biker world.  Will definitely be continuing with the series.  This one ends on a pretty crazy note. read more

Kresley Cole – The Game Maker (The Professional) Series Reading Order

By 8 Comments

One of my favorite authors from my “paranormal” days (Kresley Cole), is writing a er… contemporary romance? And by “contemporary romance” I mean a hero (or is he an anti-hero?) Russian Mafia enforcer/ex MMA-fighter bad boy/bad guy series!

Tee hee!! Could she have chose a lot of more “up my alley” qualities in a “bad guy” book hero? 😉 Book #1 is out, and two more to come in just a few weeks!

Thank you so much Tracie, for bringing this one to my attention! read more

Rachel Van Dyken – Eagle Elite Series Reading Order

By 7 Comments

From the synopsis of book #1, I was getting a “popular/mean crew that rule the university” vibe. I love that kind of stuff.  But then, I heard it had a mafia twist. YES PLEASE!!!

Nicole: I read the first book in the Elite series by Rachel Van Dyke yesterday. It had been sitting on my Kindle FOREVER (gotta start making room for some of your great recommendations)…so I read it yesterday, it started out slow, and a little confusing and then toward the end I was sucked in hook, line, and sinker. It does have a mafia angle which I didn’t see at first, it seemed more like new girl gets picked on by the popular kids, but then the story really unfolds. Very excited to read book 2! read more

Book Review – Otherwise Unharmed by Shay Savage

Otherwise Unharmed (Evan Arden)
*spoiler alert* While I pretty much wrote this review “in code” (no outright spoilers below) 😉 I still feel the need to have anyone who hasn’t read the earlier installments in the series to avoid this review. Instead, I suggest you consult the Evan Arden Series Reading Order (yes they MUST be read in order as this story is a progression in his “bad-guy” life, and this book is the conclusion to the series), and maybe read the review of book #1 (Otherwise Alone). As a whole? A GREAT GREAT series. I LOVED it! read more

Book Review – Otherwise Occupied by Shay Savage

Otherwise Occupied (Evan Arden series)
NOTE: must read this prequel first —>  Otherwise Alone (my review)

This is the series that had me going and going all weekend! Recommended by two of my trusty reading friends (Claudia & Joanna), it had so many of us exclaiming our love and re-living our Evan-induced panic attacks together.

But best of all? This book had my heart CRAMPING. Cramping I tell you. And I think because it wasn’t so obvious, (romance not being the main “theme” of the book) that it got me that much harder. read more
