Lexi Blake’s “Delighted: A Masters and Mercenaries Novella” is LIVE!!

HE’S NEIGHBORS WITH A SINGLE MOM!
Delighted: A Masters and Mercenaries Novella IS LIVE and to celebrate this release, Lexi Blake (as well as her publisher, 1,001 Dark Nights Press) are sponsoring today’s newsletter and we have a fun tidbit about the author (well… the author’s daughter. 😉 I bet I was like this for my own mom (and grandma)!!
The author says:
Today is a big milestone in my career. Delighted is the 100th book I’ve published!
I can’t believe we’re already at 100! It’s fun and fitting that my 100th book is also maybe the happiest book I’ve ever written. Boomer was one of those characters who was around for comic relief, and I resisted giving him a book because he was a big, goofy guy. He turned out to be so much more.
Reader Question – The book about the heroine who’s husband dies in the military, and his best friend is the Hero of this book
Rae is looking for this book! I LOVE military romance, and have read a few (and this trope comes up a lot. Best friends in the military and one dies, and other helps care for his wife…). I’m not sure about this one though.
She asks:
Hi, Maryse.
I hope you are well.
I am looking for a book.I can’t remember the title but i can vaguely remember some fact about the book which i am mentioning below:
1) the book is about love after loss.
2) hero is in military/Marine. And friend of heroine’s husband/fiancé
3) heroine’s husband dies on a mission/war or simply just dies.
4) The book was probably published between 2019-2021
5) the cover of the book was something like this “The hero is standing and the heroine is kissing him locking her legs around this waist”.
Reader Question… Solved! The comedy romance book about the heroine who is a military deserter and her brothers are policemen…
Christabel is looking for this book! Ohhhhh …. Uniforms. You know me. 😉 I must know this. I almost want to say it’s the Heller series but I haven’t read a single book from that series as of yet, so what do I know? 😉
She asks:
Please there is this series that I read but I have forgotten the name.
It’s about a woman who is an army or navy deserter she has like three brothers all police officers, most of her family members are policemen.
She has an FBI agent as a boyfriend but later falls in love with her boss who owns a PI firm. It’s also comedy.
Book Review – Five Years Gone by Marie Force
Five Years Gone <— That title says it all. This one was from my TBR list from a few years ago because of the crazy blurb jolt it gave me. And SOOOOOO MANY LOVED IT!!! Already that this author is hugely popular, once it was brought back to my attention a few days ago (via finding its post, for one of my “blasts from our book past” posts) I KNEW it was time for me to bring it back to the top of my list and get started.
WHAT. A. PREMISE!!!! Don’t forget… that title says it all (well… the premise anyway). 😉
