The Wall of Winnipeg and Me
I know… at first the title totally threw me off. When it comes to this author, I’m always a little perplexed (yet intrigued) by her title choices, and they end up making plenty of sense. But this one makes ALL the sense in the world when you realize “The Wall of Winnipeg” is the nickname of a HUGE 6’4″ 250lb+ football hero (who’s actual name is Aiden). So yes, my friends, we get to fall in love with a sports star, and BOY DO WE EVER!!!!

The Ultimate List of Slow Burn Romance Books
THIS LIST HAS BEEN HUGELY UPDATED MAY 20th 2020!!!
We are SO in love with taking our time with book love, aren’t we? It’s the #1 thing so many of us love in romance novels, and come on… we know that the main couple will inevitably fall in love (no surprise there). But what makes a romance book go from “good” to being one of my absolute favorites is ALWAYS the slow burn (*if* it has one, that is). It’s simply what I (and many of us) prefer.
Ashley: I need help! I need a slow burn book. I just read Kulti, and I forgot how much I love the building of a relationship. I can’t do the insta connection now. Any recommendations?”
C.L. Stone – The Ghost Bird Series Reading Order
This series is L-O-V-E-D by many in our very own crew here!!!
Michelle: I have to plug it again because it really is one of my favorite series – House of Korba came out today which is the newest book in the Ghostbird series by CL Stone. They are crazy addicting… It looks like a young adult novel but especially in the later books, ramps up on mature topics and romance. It is already riske since there is one girl and 7 guys who are all into her. And the Academy part is not what you think…ie not just a school.
Book Review – Kulti by Mariana Zapata
Kulti
I LOVED IT. L-O-V-E-D IT!!!!!!! Swooned, I did. Chuckled like crazy, I did. Grinned and beamed and butterflied like a crushing teen… I did. That could be my entire review… just… that I LOVED it.
Recommended HIGHLY by a ton in my reading crew (some of my most trusted and picky readers) …and I agree.
Tracie: I think I just read my favorite book of 2015…Yes I know it’s only April. But I’m confident. Kulti by Mariana Zapata is the definition of a slow burn by not moving slow at all. Kick ass heroine, broody, world class athlete equals perfection. You will laugh your butt off and you will swoon!! I beg everyone to read this fantastic book!!
Book Review – The Five Stages of Falling in Love by Rachel Higginson
The Five Stages of Falling in Love
WOWWWWW!!! *sniff sniff* That. Was. Beauuuuuuutiful. The book that gave me big fat ploppy tears that just ran down my cheeks randomly in a mix of sorrow, absolute grief, and pure sweet happiness!
Sherry: I’m only 13% in and I’ve choked up AND laughed my ass off ALL on the same page….this one is going to be rough… My God, how can a book have you crying at only 3% ???? But laughing at 7%
Maryse: It sounds perfect!!!
Sherry: Oh you’ve no idea. It’s such a real feeling of emotions….it rips your heart out, then your laughing out loud a sentence later…Just real
