Any vampire pros out there? I thought I was but this is one I haven’t read yet. Sounds like fun, though!! I’ve read a few vampire series featuring female detectives (Anita Blake, The Makers Song, and The Calling to name a few) but not this one.

Lover At Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood
To say I was dying to finally get to Blay and Qhuinn’s story is an understatement. I have been feeling them for a few books now, and was thrilled they (and we) were finally going to explore their potential. Their magic. After all, I was crushing on the old “V and Butch” potential back in the day and am still in love with their soul-deep connection. I was a bit surprised at the turn they took, but, considering how much I loved V’s book, and the romantic intensity between him and his mate, I’m happy. Those two made me cry a few times, and anything that I feel that deeply will forever be cherished as a favorite. read more

Erica Stevens – The Captive Series Reading Order

Book #1 has been free on occasion (I think it’s free right now, even!), and I’ve been noticing some some of our fellow readers chatting about this series. They like it! One of our dark & creepy romances? Not sure, but from that synopsis, I think I’m gonna love it, and considering there’s a vampire in this one, I might love it even more! I’ve been wanting to get into a nice intense vampire series.

Amy: OMG guys!!! The Captive series… Braith the vampire is dangerous and protective and swoon-worthy and scary and just…GAH! It’s books 1 through 6 plus the prequel (which BROKE my heart and left me with a nice solid ache for, like, 3 days) but I would recommend waiting on the prequel until after book 4 to get the full effect of it. Even the author said SHE cried while writing the prequel. Okay, I’m done gushing. 😉 read more
