Book Review – Look After You by Elena Matthews

Look After You
I heard of this one for the first time on Friday, while putting together the bargain list and wow! That TITLE??!! That BLURB?!! That COVER!??? I couldn’t help myself. I had to read it now! It seemed to be promising an uber-angsty romance read full of love triangle decisions and pain (and maybe even happiness).

But it wasn’t just that, that had my attention. It was the hint that I was about to experience something deep, and heartrendingly meaningful. I could “see” it, you know? Something this big, equally emotionally unfortunate… and uplifting (depending one which character you are). I could absolutely see it happening in a time of emotional crisis. Just on the synopsis, alone, I imagined it would have a “real” feel, a lot of soul searching and a big finale that could honestly… go either way. I wasn’t reading “predictable” in that synopsis, and I was SO excited (albeit super-nervous) for the potentially destructive and/or healing journey I imagined it would take me on. read more

Linda Kage – Forbidden Men Series Reading Order

STANDALONE “FORBIDDEN ROMANCE” SERIES ALERT!! Well, by that I mean, it would appear that each book in this series can be read as a “standalone” (even though they are “connected”). And okay well, you know why I had to highlight this series, dontcha? 😉 It’s got forbidden right in the title!!!!!

PLUS! I didn’t realize it at first, but the first book in the series is one that I already have HIGH on my TBR list. The first one: She has bad track record with relationships, but meets and becomes friends with a guy in college… and starts falling for him… “He could be my soul mate…except for one teeny tiny glitch. Latest Bargain e-Books – May 9th 2014

Happy Friday my friends!! Best day of the week, other than Saturday, which is the bestest day of the week. 😉 But what makes THIS day pretty much equal to Saturday is ’cause of all of the “new-to-me” reads I find out about, in my quest for bargains and recommendations. And this Friday looks like a super-winner!!

So, next on my TBR list is “in the air” right now ’cause I have four books that I want to read at the same time (from the last two weeks’ lists), and I’m just not sure which one I want to read more, ya know? Especially after the fantastic “Push” that really blew my mind. So… what’s next? read more

A new series by one of our favorite queens of comedy. Book #2 was just released with a third on the way soon. From bounty hunting to baiting and investigating potential cheaters, these books about three best friends turned investigators sound like fun!

Bethany: I’ve read the first one, book 2 is on my Kindle. Love her books!

Britton: I read the first. Short and funny read!

Stacy: Yes loved them both. Tara Sivec is hilarious!
