Following my heart, one book at a time...
Yvette has been with us since 2010 and was riding along with me through my whole “strictly paranormal” phase! And tonight, HER favorites list is up for us to feast our eyes upon. I LOVE that there are quite a few on here that are totally new-to-me, and that a few of her favorites, are also some of mine (and yet kind of obscure…).
But let’s get to know her a bit, shall we?

Wanna see what other books are her absolute favorites? She has thirteen favorites she wants to share with us! So many that we absolutely LOVED, and a few that I’ve never heard of but that sound so profound.
She didn’t give us personal details as to why these are her favorites but these little bits from the blurbs make it obvious. And I’ve read and loved so many of ’em, that I included links to my own reviews next to those I’ve read. 😀

I recently read Jojo Moyes’ book, The Girl You Left Behind and it revived a love that I had forgotten – German Commanders as a leading character!
Can you recommend a book in this genre that are swoon worthy and have the military World War 1 or 2 elements? I am having a hard time finding something on my own here.

Right off the bat the first AMAZING one that comes to mind is, of course, The Bronze Horseman (The Bronze Horseman Trilogy Book 1) by Paullina Simons. AMAZING trilogy, and these will fulfill your WWII romance and hardship needs, without a doubt. Here is my review. MichelleS agrees! “I am surprised how many people haven’t read Bronze Horseman. One of my all time favorites. Right after Outlander, probably. I know, I know… it feels like it would be crazy heavy (WWII in Leningrad) and long (3 books)… and it is… but it is sooooo worth it. An amazing love story. One of THE best, IMHO. It is so satisfying because the three books span their lifetime, so you get their ENTIRE story. How often do we get that? This is like book one plus the longest epilogue ever!!!”
Oh YAY!!! Robyn is up next, and there are a ton on here that I haven’t read (or even heard of!!). Plenty of new-to me (new to us?) to discover and I can’t wait to explore this magnificent favorites list!

Wheeeee!!! It’s a doubly awesome Saturday ’cause it’s Reader Favorites day, AND it’s Halloween so I have a special treat. Today is Sadie’s turn and she switched up the favorites-list format a little. 😉 She’s been with us since 2013 and I must admit, her book tastes ROCK HARD!!! She and I discuss our latest awesome “finds” often, and Sadie’s suggestions do NOT disappoint.
A little on her HEA & cliffhanger preferences:
“I never want to know if it’s a HEA. If I hear that a book has a HEA, it’s always lingering in the back of my mind and I feel less emotionally invested. For me, it’s the same with movies. Agree that cliffhanger warnings are good because I am with Melissa – I always forget details from the previous book/s so prefer to read the series together if I can. For some, I just can’t wait
