Book Review – Forever His Baby by Morgana Phoenix

Forever His Baby
Super sweet romance novel that caught my eye a couple of weeks ago on a recent bargain/release list. It looked SO good, cause it involved two brothers and she was pregnant by one of ’em… yet wanted the other. “Two brothers. One impossible choice.” Oh? I’m intrigued.

And then this part sold me:

Sloan McClain, the only man Lily has ever truly wanted — and the brother of the boy whose baby she’s carrying. While Lily expects a great number of outcomes when she tells Sloan her news, him proposing marriage and asking her to keep the baby is not one of them, especially not when she has every intention of giving the baby a better future by giving it the home she can’t. read more

Well, obviously when two of my absolute favorite authors collaborate on a book, you KNOW I’m going to read it. No recommendations needed, and I don’t even need to know what it’s about. I’ll happily go in blind, don’t even need a blurb jolt or anything, ’cause I just know… it’s gonna be awesome. As this one was. 😀

Ahhhhh Regency romance. I’m not that familiar with the genre yet, but so far? It sure is swoon worthy, and just like Jennifer said, there are bad boy heroes in these, too! And we had a true bad boy (Derek Craven) play out in all of his glory in this book!

<— *oomph*!!!! This one has it!!! ANGST in all of it’s delicious angsty glory. IT IS HERE my friends. I was pretty much… “into” it you know? It was good, entertaining, funny, cute, and going the way I expected it to go. I could tell they were into each other, but I wasn’t FEELING that just yet, ya know? That… intense pining. The “OMG I can’t breathe when he’s around” level. Not yet.

But then… things. Karina Halle’s version of emotions kicked in and OMG. So real. So raw. So intense. And I was SO into it!!!! And so was Sherry. read more

Maryse’s 2014 Top Twenty Five Favorite Books List

Happy New Year’s Eve, my friends!! 😀 It’s that time of year again!! Time to scroll through all of my favorite 2014 reads and choose my absolute favorites out of the bunch! And you KNOW that’s gonna be hard for me, considering the fact that, if I’ve 4.5 to 5-starred it, I thought it was FANTASTIC!! So it’s already a favorite, ya know?

But I’m gonna try and consolidate. 😉 The keyword is TRY. I’m going to list them by those that I remember the most, in detail… still, without even having to backtrack over my review or the synopsis. Generally, all 5-star (and many 4.5 star) books have that effect on me, so make sure to check them all out, as I highly recommend EACH one). But… these just really stand out in my head loud and clear. read more
