With the recent spur of many fanfic favorites being traditionally published, I thought it would be fun to post our favorite “fanfics” list. Like I mentioned in a recent post, I had a thing for fanfic, once upon a time. I continued my infatuation with my favorite characters and although I was reluctant to read stories about a specific series from “other” authors, I was actually enthralled and entertained by a number of these (some of these stories are really detailed, well written and as long as a book!):

Recent release from last week, with a blurb that had my attention. A woman with a seemingly perfect life that was privately unraveling. And then publicly. I was dying to know what secrets she was spilling… and this?
“…what if along the way, as we were spilling those secrets, we realized that things aren’t always what they seem and with that knowledge, it changed the whole story?”
WHOA! I had to know more!

Teacher-Student Romance Books where SHE is the teacher…
FORBIDDEN ROMANCE ALERT!! I’ve been getting a few requests, lately, for an more “focused” student-teacher list. I already have a main book list that is comprised of anything “teacher-student” romance related, but it appears there aren’t that many where the teacher is a woman. These are few and far between. But some of you are asking for list and I’m happy to oblige.
Touchy subject especially considering the news stories over the last few years, but still a worthy risqué, exciting, angst-filled, dramatic, eeeeeeep-inducing reading subject, am I right?
Book Review – Roam by Kimberly Stedronsky
Roam (Roam Series, Book One
A great start to what I anticipate will be a tumultuous series loaded in angst, action and personal agony. My kind of read! And it was so good, with two twists that I didn’t even see coming. One had me gasping halfway through the story thinking… NO. WAY!! Totally clever!
Very cool, indeed. And that’s what I love about paranormals. The surprise reveals that are so hard to accept at first but then make so much sense as the story progresses. This is one of those.
Book Review – A Winter Dream by Richard Paul Evans
A Winter Dream: A Novel
Okay so here’s one that is NOT our usual read (or mine either, for that matter) but ended up being so good!
It has a totally real feel, and does “read” like one of our usual books (in first person POV, and a fascinating “voice” at that). In fact, it felt so personal that at first I thought it was someone’s autobiography detailing their personal struggles and eventual growth.
And since it was recommended by a friend that was greatly touched by it…
