Charade
The first half… good, but the second half was so good, and so incredibly heartbreaking that I could barely contain myself. Oh wait, that’s right. I didn’t contain myself at all. I just let go and cried and cried and cried. Not just tears, I mean the sobbing and high pitched keening and everything. Little balls of damp tissue paper littered my bed, my pajama top soggy and wrinkly from using it to mop up my face repeatedly (I had been using that until I finally decided to go find the tissues). Usually the pajama top suffices, but not in this case. *shakes head* Prepare yourselves.

Book Review – Leave Me Breathless by Cherrie Lynn
Leave Me Breathless (book #3 in the “Ross Siblings” series)
<—Loved this! Though I had a few “reservations” before starting it. As much as I desperately wanted (and still want) more in this series, I thought Rock Me would be a really hard act to follow. I adore Brian (from Rock Me) and he’s still, to this day, one of my #1 heroes. I wholeheartedly connected to him and his bad boy persona, and absolutely felt everything that story had to throw at me. And when I found out the next book (this one) would be about Ghost (his best friend & tattoo artist employee), I was happy, but didn’t doubt for a second that he had nothing on Brian.
Another Squee-worthy Cover Reveal!! – Jamie McGuire’s Walking Disaster
I HEART TRAVIS. My #1 bad-boy book hero? Yep. Pretty much. And really that’s all there is to say. Oh, and this —-> *squeeeeeeeeeee*
Beautiful Disaster is one of my all-time favorite books ever (and I think everyone knows this fact already), but to think that we’ll be reading Walking Disaster from Travis’s point of view… *sigh*

Book Review – Rock Star by Ginger Voight
Rock Star (Groupie Book 2)
<— The sequel to “Groupie” (my latest 4.5 star “frenzy-inducing” read that had me up all night, freaking out – check out my review for it, here). Rock Star delivered tons of angst with a few punches to the gut, and put me through the ringer, too. Oh boy did it put me through the ringer. But for me, it was more of a 4 star read (and occasionally less, when I found myself over-exasperated).
I liked it, but I lost some of that famous rock star fantasy, in the process. Some of those larger than life, “OMG I can’t believe this is happening to me” moments. The “I told you so’s” that re-inforced my belief (and provided relief) that my love for rock stars and the whole fantasy of it, was best left in my blog posts. Because sure enough, there could only be pain in that kind of “reality”.
Book Review – Groupie by Ginger Voight

<—– FANTASTIC frenzy inducer!!!!! LOVED LOVE LOVED this book because it was everything I could imagine falling in love with a rock star (and receiving his attentions back) could be. It epitomizes everything we fantasize about being loved by a rock star. And at the same time, puts that very popular “never fall in love with a rock star” warning in perfect perspective.
Shannon and Sherry (and Julie) recommended this one, and I could just hug them so hard! I’ve had them on my Ultimate Rock Star List, but how to choose which to read next? But when you start getting these kinds of recommendations, the choice becomes much easier!
