Unspeakable Things

This is an “Amazon First Reads” that I chose recently (in fact, it only officially comes out in January, but I think Prime members can buy it now), and I was thrilled by the feedback I was getting on it, ’cause it sounded right up my psych-thriller/mystery alley!! P.S. It’s actually still available to be “purchased” for free, for Prime members if you haven’t selected one yet, this month.

Mona: Hey Maryse, have you chosen your Amazon Prime First Reads for December? I picked Unspeakable Things by Jess Lourey. I was up until 1:30am reading it, fell asleep but woke back up about 3:30am thinking about the book so I picked it back up and finished it at 6:30am. read more

YAY KIM!!! She’s back with a favorites list!! I love Kim and she’s been with us for a long time (on our Facebook page, too), and once upon a time… she sent us THIS list Reader Favorites – Kim’s Top Reads for 2015

But first, some of her highlights over the last year and a half!

Her love of rock stars: I have so many rock star crushes and rocker books are one of my most favourite tropes (hello Jake Wethers). My latest age inappropriate crush is Harry Styles. I love his zero f*cks given attitude, his minxy British bad boy vibes and naughty sense of humour. He’s pretty easy on the eyes as well and if Stevie Nicks can be his BFF, I don’t feel too pervy on the age gap 😉 read more
