Latest Bargain e-Books – April 4th 2014

Okay so what’s next for me? Not sure yet, but I’m thinking I want light and airy and giggle-inducing. Or sweet and deep. Definitely picking something from my main TBR lists, though, ’cause I know they’re tried & true! Maybe this: Coming Home. Yep… I’m thinking that one.

<— That one to the left? I hear it’s UBER-angsty. I like those. 😉 I dunno if my heart can take that just yet, though, but this is one’s on my reading-radar.

I’m still reading “The King: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood” (70% in, and should be finished tonight) It’s a long one, with lots of story lines, so the reader is switched around a lot, but I’m enjoying it! And I reallllly liked Z’s part in it… *swooooooon*.

Janet: Hey out there, it’s been a whole day–why is nobody talking about the King???? You’re killing me. Just got the audio–22 hours long, I’m starting it now. My house is gonna be so clean, and my dogs will be walked to death.

Shannon: Still reading….slowly to make it last!

Kelly: Is it wrong that I started it and then put it down after 2 chapters so I won’t finish it too quickly? I’m teasing myself and that is a bit sad.

Lori: You really have to concentrate on it – there’s so many story lines going on…really liking it though!

Maryse’s Book Blog: Lori, I agree. It took me until about 20% or 30% to read steady into it, ’cause of all the switcheroos… but it’s her style lately, and I’m getting used to it now…

Lori: I’m about 65% and really really liking it…I think it’s the best one in quite a while!! loving all the secondary characters…

Okay so… ready for this week’s goodies? Reader recommendations, bargain finds and!! I also did a few searches for some of my fav books, hoping to find others similar (in feel/style) and found a few good-looking “Amazon” suggestions that caught my eye (I added them below, too)! A good list of  super-angst, fighters, military men scarred (emotionally) from the war, sweet love stories and famous stars!

  • Fight or Fall by Anne Leigh <— FIGHTER BOOK recent release. I’m not getting much (love-story wise) from the blurb but here’s a bit: “This is NOT your typical fighter story.   • Finally Home (Home Series) by K. Webster <— Recent release, bargain priced and lots of good reviews so far. Not a ton of reviews yet, but the blurb got me, and even the lower-ish reviews make it sound good. LOL! I’m checkin’ it out! “Her sister is getting married to her ex, her brother’s sexual escapades are making headlines, her mother is going crazy, and her father’s not speaking to any of them. Kim Karr – The Connections Series Reading Order

Recommended by many of our fellow readers! Book #1 ends on quite the cliffhanger, but no need to fret. 😉 Book #2 has already been released, plus a brand spankin’ new novella went live a few days ago, and two more books on the way!

Jodi: You will love Connected by Kim Karr, it was so good!!

Donna: Just read Connected and can’t wait for Torn!!  LOVE IT

Barb: I loved this book, especially the fact that there wasn’t long drawn out angst after quite a few of my past reads. It wasn’t typical and yet that’s why it was a good love story!!!

Bobbie: I enjoyed this book and I loved the reference to the D-Bags and Kellen Kyle.  I look forward to Torn, I hope there is a little more angst in that one!

Elizabeth: I just finished this one today and loved it. So much. But you know, I think it was just what I was looking for, like you said,  in terms of not being too much angst and game playing – and River…sigh!! He made the book for me. I think I just felt their initial connection and where it went from there. Good writing too. Can’t wait for the next one.

Chrissy: Just read it over the weekend and really liked it.  Cried like a baby on so many occasions!  But – the ending killed me – really did it just end like that???  Was not expecting it at all…I liked the mystery so I will have to read on once the next book comes out.

<— I’m very excited to post THIS gorgeous cover of “Lead” (the upcoming book #3 in Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive Series). And since I’m still kind of floating in my “love-fog” from book #2 in the series, this book #3 cover release is well timed. 😉

Kylie Scott: GAH. JIMMY. I really do have a certain weakness for this cover. Also…delighted to announce PLAY hit #11 on the New York Times List and #27 on the USA Today!!! I’m blown away. Thank you all so much for your support.

ROCK STAR ROMANCE BOOK lovers rejoice. This series TRULY rocks my world. Book #1 (“Lick“) blew me away and I gave it 5 stars and book #2 (“Play“) blew me away even more (and even more than book #1) and I gave it 5 stars, too.

But THIS one? Oh I cannot WAIT for Jimmy! Why? Because I got to know him as the ultimate “jerk” of the group! And you know me. I love falling for the book-jerks. rolleyes

Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – April 1st 2014

<— We all know what I’m reading today, and there will be NO squirreling for me!!! I’m just too hooked on this series for my eyes to even want to roam. 😉

Yep… Wrath is one of my favorite men (paranormal or not) of all book-time, and I’m going to happily drown in him and his BDB crew once again. This is one my favorite times of the year (BDB new release time)!!! It’s like Christmas and Halloween all rolled into one. *giggle*

If you missed the J.R. Ward interview I posted earlier today, here is the direct link to it. PLUS, a separate giveaway for “Dark Lover” (the first book in the series). All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on that giveaway post.

But what happens once I’m done with “The King: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood“? I get to *squirrel* a bit (or maybe choose another from my TWO main TBR lists – this one (17 books from my TBR list) and this one (TOP TEN on my TBR LIST).

Some of the standouts that make me wanna squirrel from this list? Bad for You (Abbi Gline’s brand of “Bad boy” and it can be read as a standalone!!), Reasonable Doubt (from the blurb this *short* one seems to have a Night Owl mixed with an office romance book feel to it), The Ivory Cane (she’s blind and he’s kind of a jerk!), Floored (road-trip between two unlikely strangers).

Lots of unique sounding reads below, and I’m anxious to know if there are any “must-reads” in the bunch. 😀 Some MAY be re-releases (it’s crazy how many books were released today, but some were obviously re-releases), so I tried my best to choose those that looked brand new for this “new release” list.

In celebration of the release of “The King” and the exclusive J.R. Ward interview that I just posted, Penguin (the publisher) would like to offer FIVE lucky commenters here a print copy of the very first book in the series! It’s one of my favorite books in the series and “Wrath” (aka “The King”) is the main character in that one, too. 😉

Jean: Started Dark Lover last night….only at 20%….but Wrath just met Beth for the first time….OMG!!  I am dying!  Okay, I get everyone’s obsession with this series now!  I get it, I get it, I get it!!!  Kinda reminds me of Madeline Sheehan’s biker books….but these guys….wow, they are just so much more bad-ass (and hot)!

Deniese:  …I almost wanted to reach in there and strangle him until I got myself together….WHEW..I swear I’m going to have high blood pressure when this book is over. BDBFAN4LIFE  YYYEEEE!!!
