Sarah Lyons Fleming – Until the End of the World Series Reading Order

By 5 Comments

Zombie series that Amy found for us and loved, and sure enough, Tessa and Michelle are loving it, too!! And book #3 was just released!!

Amy: Ladies, I’m reading And After by Sarah Lyons Fleming, the second book in her Until the End of the World series. This was a random-pick read for me as I was in one of those moods where the thought of starting *anything* was overwhelming. I KNOW y’all know how those moods are. I read the first book a while back and figured I’d catch up on the series since I actually wanted something a little lighter. I know, what’s up with that sh!t…me actually wanting something light and picking a zombie book for that purpose. *giggle* read more

Courtney Cole – The Nocte Trilogy Reading Order

By 13 Comments

I haven’t read this one yet, but it sounds right up my alley! Psychological thriller that is keeping so many guessing. This series is causing a ton of our fellow readers to be excited, confused and frustrated. Some, delightfully so… and some others, not so much.  But it seems so many just can’t get enough!

Tasha: I bought Nocte by Courtney Cole and was absolutely captivated from the very first page. Heck even the forward had me wiggling in anticipation. The story was AMAZING! I didn’t want to put it down, I was dying to find out the secrets…oooooh the secrets!! Didn’t see them coming, I guessed and guessed and just when I thought I knew, nope not quite! I felt so connected to the characters and all the emotions.. I don’t want to give anything away because it’s best to go in completely blind. This was the first book I have read in so long that I didn’t skip anything, not even a little…I can’t wait for #2, but I’m also satisfied with the ending. You must read this book! 😀 read more

Author News Roundup – 02-05-14

By 3 Comments

Here’s a bit of exciting author news that I rounded up. Lots of good stuff happening, a brand new anticipated release that will be showing up any minute now, some great looking bargains announcements and —> congratulations are in order!

“Congratulations to Joanna Wylde for making the NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERS LIST!!! Reapers Legacy is currently sitting at #9 for ebooks.”
“I made a huge OOPS! The Warner Bros contract was drawn up on July 27, 2012, but it wasn’t signed until November 13. So that means that Warner Bros still has the film rights and option to make the film until May 13, 2014.” <— side note: not quite sure what that means, movie-wise, but I’m sure she’ll keep us updated. 🙂
  • More Jamie McGuire news and I know this’ll make you *squeeee* – Next Maddox brother (Trent) coming soon!!!

“In a wild turn of events, I spent an entire week of all-nighters to finish APOLONIA. Once finished, I spoke with my editor at Atria, and we both agreed that A Beautiful Wedding had such an incredible reception, that we would thank Beautiful Disaster fans by flip-flopping the release of Trent’s book with APOLONIA. What this means is that Trent’s book (title to be announced soon!) will release June 2014, and APOLONIA will be available in November 2014. This has never been done before, at least, not with me, and I’m excited to see the results of this decision. I’m even more excited to get started on Trent’s book, and get it into YOUR hands!” read more

Reader Question – The book where she left, broke his heart and his best friend wants to hurt her…

By 2 Comments

Here’s one!! She’s a cop, and his (her old high school boyfriend’s) best friend is out to hurt her in retaliation (’cause she hurt him). But alas, I do not know the book. Maybe you do?

Millie asks:

I read some reviews of a book on Amazon I think and I can’t remember the title.

What I know about it:

a girl comes back to her hometown to help her boyfriend from high school and his name is Steve? But she and Steve’s best friend were kind of in love… she left after high school, breaking Steve’s heart in the process and when she comes back, the best friend wants to hurt her because apparently she’s the main cause to Steve’s problems. read more
