Great cover, great title, great author, great story! What a premise. That title says it all, and I could NOT resist making this one my next read.
I really enjoyed this sweet contemporary romance novel, because while it wasn’t one of the crazier-rides we love to embark on (nothing too gasp-worthy, or angsty) it gave us what we’ve come to love in our “new adult” love stories!
✔ A forced-roommates story between two ex-childhood friends, that are so far from it now, as adults.

Amy: You guys! YOU GUYS!!!! Did any of you read it way back when? I read it not long after Thoughtless and HOLY FREAKING ANGST! It’s taboo with heartbreaking angst, and it just doesn’t let up from what I remember. MARYSE! This one needs to be added to the I’ll-never-forgive-you list!!!!

Sweet sweet sweeeeeeetness and it had me right form the get-go! I sampled it, and this was one sample, that as soon as it was done, I went in and one-clicked it right into my iPad. LOVED it! 😀
And I should have known, since a few of you commented and let us know how into this recent release y’all were.
Michelle: I can’t rave enough about how incredibly DIFFERENT this story is. There’s nothing to compare it to so it is a perfect “what to read after.” I saw you post about it, but if you haven’t read it and you’re looking for an emotional journey that feels so real and imperfect that you forget that they’re actually imaginary characters, or a book with twists and turns that make you question your own intelligence for not seeing things coming, or if you want to laugh out loud because you feel like you slipped into your own family reunion (as an outsider peeking in at the lunacy), and you want to fall in love with the most adorable kids ever, then you have to read this story! Can you tell that I’m having a book hangover?! Sigh. I’m jealous of everyone who gets to read it for the first time going in blind.
The Baller: A Down and Dirty Football Novel
Another fun read by author Vi Keeland, and I just realized I’m starting to rack up a nice little review repertoire of her books. I’m noticing that she’s one of my favorites and it’s so easy to see why. In fact, this book was #1 in ALL of Kindle books on Amazon, and made the NYT Best Seller’s list and the USA TODAY Best Sellers list. That’s not for nothing. 😉
Great writing, absorbing personal (and relatable) stories and characters. Best of all, the smooth flow of her stories, that have that authentic feel. Nothing rushed, nothing too eye-rolling, and yet still that *oomph* that keeps the reader both comfortable and on the edge of her emotional seat! Believable, realistic (and often hilarious) dialogue, and she’s got her “bad boys” down to a T.
Love in the Light (Hearts in Darkness Duet Book 2)
This was the follow-up of a short story that I read years ago and absolutely loved. And I’m so glad I took a chance on it, ’cause back then? Anything less than 300 pages was almost an instant “no” for me. But the premise of Hearts in Darkness (two strangers stuck in a pitch black elevator for hours together) had my interest, and while it may have been short in pages, it was plentiful, in story!! My heart felt it, and I always wondered… what happened to these two that bonded so intensely… once upon a time.
