November 9: A Novel
I read it (*squeeee*!!) and I’m here to tell you, you’re in for a treat!! It’s a totally unique way to tell a sweet love story. In true Colleen Hoover fashion, this one has all of her infamous feels (whether you’re giggling with glee at how clever her characters are, or wanting to throw your book in fury ’cause they can be so darn thick-headed sometimes!! 😉 ). The dialogue, the fantastic character introspection, POV’s from both characters (and yet you have no clue what’s gonna happen even though you know what they’re both thinking), everything that’s signature to this author is here.

Book Review – The House by Christina Lauren
The House
You know how some people get too attached to their home? Well… what happens when a house gets too attached to its people? This.
<— Good stuff but a bit different from what I was anticipating. Well… the “base” of it, that is. A few of us lightly skimmed the blurb (we were hoping to go in blind) and envisioned a young married couple setting up in their new house. Would it be haunted? Or maybe a ghost love story? Ohhhhh yesssss!! We were in no matter what!! And we were highly enticed by the fear-factor warning. But… it ended up being… completely different from expected… at first.
Book Review – Creep by Jennifer Hillier
Creep (Creep series Book 1)
Y’all know I have a slight *ahem* (extreme) penchant for disturbing books and since my craving for an exciting psych-thriller read wasn’t exactly met with that last one, I had to give it another go. So where did I pick from? In my Ultimate List of Book Lists!
Yep! I was updating the List of Gasp-Worthy Plot Twists & Crazy Endings with some new suggestions, and I saw that cover sitting there from my first round of recommendations, and I was all….. oooooooooooh that looks CREEPY. How could I possibly resist a book title and book cover like THAT?? PERFECT for my mood. It was a recommendation from a fellow reader and when I clicked and saw that super-bargain price, I made it my next!!
Book Review – Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata
Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin
Gotta LOVE her crazy, crazy book titles and character names, but most of all, GOTTA LOVE her SLOW burn romances. And this one? OH GOD YES! Right up my alley for sure! Rock star bus tour + hot lead singer + this author’s brand of teasing us until we’re about to explode? YES PLEASE!!!!
And I gotta say… I pretty much loved it. A quick, easy read that was not necessarily unputdownable, but SO EASILY pick-back-uppable. Like *if* I put it down, for whatever reason, I was SO happy to get right back into it. One of those.
Book Review – Before We Were Strangers: A Love Story by Renée Carlino
Before We Were Strangers: A Love Story
If you are looking for sweet relief from the dark, the gritty and the more “hardcore” love stories that we love to indulge in, then this one is for you! It will heal your book-broken heart (but first, it will break it!!! Tee hee!! 😛 ), coddle your traumatized book-soul and cleanse your eyes from all that delightful defilement, by easing your into this pure, peaceful, traditional broken-hearted, second chance contemporary romance read.

Anne: You guys!!! I am in book heaven! I started Before We Were Strangers last night as soon as it arrived on my Kindle and finished it this morning and wow! WOW!! What a book! Its the best book I’ve read this year. I cried, laughed, swooned and fell in love. Matt is perfect! I am so in love with him! This is Renee’s best book to date. You all need to read it ASAP! I wish I could start it all over again. More than 5 stars for me. PERFECTION!!
