Book Review – The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

The Simple Wild: A Novel
I LOVED IT!!! But I knew I would. K.A. Tucker has become one of my most favorite authors ever. I connect deeply with each one of her books (and heroines), and I feel like I’m actually living them. I love her “voice”, and her brand of storytelling that is so unique to her, and yet so relatable to me.

LOVE TRIANGLE DELICIOUSNESS ALERT!! If you’re looking to pine HARD over someone, and to feel like you’re falling in love, and to be all sorts of confused because also… there’s that other guy that you can’t stop looking at (but that barely acknowledges you, but then again.. sort of does), but then again…. he’s your new boyfriend’s best friend *ahem* (sorry for the run-on) but …. you’ve found your match!!!! Cuffed (Everyday Heroes Series Book 1)
The best of both “contemporary romance-book” worlds in this one! Childhood best friends, and it’s a second chance romance to boot! Also, the cop-in-uniform hero didn’t hurt one bit.

That cover? *waggles eyebrows* I know right? He was pretty easy to imagine.

BUT for those that aren’t as taken by an overtly sexy book cover, don’t let it scare you. While this book was steamy and at times, hilarious (ohhhhhh that police escort to the drug store had me laughing out loud), 😛 read more

Someone Else’s Ocean
Kate Stewart’s latest JUST WENT LIVE and I had the pleasure of reading an early copy over the weekend!!
It was gentler on us than some of her past super-angsty books that had us in a frenzy, but it sure had it’s share of pull-pull, kindle-throwing moments, and of course… a seriously angsty moment that had my heart in my throat.

So what’s it about?

Koti has been living life on an island renting beautiful vacation houses to tourists, and loving her uncomplicated, and very single life. Having run from her high stress, demanding world, she’s finally found a semblance of peace living on the beach, and helping make visitors happy… even if for just a few weeks. That is, until Ian (her childhood friend that she hasn’t seen in ages) shows up in the vacation home right next door to hers, kicking up a storm. read more

The Solemn Vow: A love story told from rock bottom
SERIOUS MARITAL STRIFE ALERT!!! New-to-me author but I really enjoyed this one! It’s as romantically angsty as it gets (a love triangle that totally goes “there”). You know… Arsen, Thoughtless… you get the picture. 😉

Tons of heartache and indecision. You wanna be mad at her but there’s also the other side to blame (and I mean… SERIOUSLY!!). BOTH other sides, in fact.
