Comfort Object (Comfort series)
Well this was fun in a “can’t-put-it-down-even-though-I’m-cringing-and-so-often-appalled” kind of way! WARNING. This book is not for everyone. I had mixed reactions from some of my reader friends (some who really enjoyed it and some who hated the “hero” far too much to enjoy it). And while I can agree that this kind of bad-boy would probably have anyone running for the hills, in real life (he’s just so UGH!!!!), I will admit from the safety of my couch, I read through it like a fiend. I just had to see where this was going, and how it was going to end. But please. Don’t go into this book lightly. As I re-read some scenes for this review, I’m back to being appalled again. All in one sitting, you get the whole effect, but piecing it out like this… YIKES!!!

Book Review – Silent Night, Haunted Night by Terri Garey
Silent Night, Haunted Night (Nicki Styx, Book 4)
*WARNING* – it’s best not to read this review if you haven’t yet read the series, in *case* of slight spoilers. I try not to give away the good (or important) parts, but some just HAD to be highlighted here, I just couldn’t resist. Too too good!
And now for the review of my favorite book in the Nicki Styx series. This is the one. I was upside down and beside myself from the getgo, and I’m still not over it. Like book three, this one grabbed me from the start, and I read it straight through.
Book Review – A Match Made in Hell by Terri Garey
A Match Made in Hell (Nicki Styx, Book 2)
After finishing book #2 (this one) I quickly realized that this was totally my kind of series 😉 I liked book one, but this one had me excited enough to immediately move onto #3 (which, by the way, I read straight through, and will be heading into #4 tonight). Yup, two books in two days, and the series just keeps getting better with each installment.
The series is mostly funny, as Nicki is all about sarcastic wit, but the tales are also very moving. You see, despite having been raised in a loving home, Nicki was once one of those angsty goth teens, rebelling against everything. This attitude followed her deep into her adulthood (keeping mostly everyone at arms length). But things are changing for Nicki, as her tiny circle of friends appears to be growing into a necessary (and comforting) entourage.
