I know… at first the title totally threw me off. When it comes to this author, I’m always a little perplexed (yet intrigued) by her title choices, and they end up making plenty of sense. But this one makes ALL the sense in the world when you realize “The Wall of Winnipeg” is the nickname of a HUGE 6’4″ 250lb+ football hero (who’s actual name is Aiden). So yes, my friends, we get to fall in love with a sports star, and BOY DO WE EVER!!!!

Book Review – The Play by Karina Halle
I’m a HUGE fan of Karina Halle’s love stories because I’ve always found that no matter what she writes, she plunges into some very deep, unconventional “book” moments. More like… real life moments. And while at first I doubted this sweet, funny story would actually go there”, it totally did. AND I MEAN DID!
Yep, this one proves it! Whether it be horror, or “bad guys” or full-on contemporary romance, there have always been some great-wrenching and/or super-risqué scenes that have absolutely hooked me!
My Passion for “Book Bad Boys”
Bad boys (in books) are my favorite. I bet y’all didn’t know… huh? 😉 LOL! And sure… we’ve all been on a bad-boy kick for a few years now, and have a plethora of book-bad-boys to choose from. In fact, it was book bad-boys that took me out of my paranormal reading funk. They weren’t your typical “hero” and even at times, could totally be an anti-hero. And they had me swooning like mad, again!
But I still get that age-old question… what is it about bad boys that has us swooning so hard?

This one started out as a “reader question” but the great recommendations just kept coming, so I made it a list, instead.
Now of course we are ALL looking for alpha-male books, ’cause that’s pretty much our thing, isn’t it? 😉 Alpha romance? US!! It’s a given. It’s much of what brought all of us readers together. Our love of Alpha McBossypants heroes that infuriate us, and then turn around and give us butterflies in our stomach. BEST. FEELING. EVER.
But let’s thank these two readers that have re-activated our love of good alpha-lists, and the books that make ’em!
S.L. Scott – Hard to Resist Series Reading Order
Rock star bad boys ALERT!! I enjoyed book #1 (my review), ’cause it had a good amount of romance angst and book #2 sounds like it’s gonna be even heartbreakier. So far, three books are out!! 😀
Flavia: Oh! Jack Dalton is the rock star!!!! The Resistance is AMAZING! And you can find everything there: angst, love, sexyness, hot rock star, strong female character, a “OMFG! Did that just happend?” twist and did I say hot rock star?
Michelle: I read The Resistance last night and LOVED it…..I hope there will be more to the story….at least another member of the band like the Lick books….I’m a walking zombie today because I stayed up all night to finish it.
