Book Review – Killing the Sun Part 1 by Mara White & K. Larsen

Killing The Sun: Part 1 (COMING OUT ON TUESDAY!!!)
MAFIA ROMANCE (DARK ROMANCE?) LOVERS!!! Guess what? I went ahead and taste-tested the first part of a new serial (a little over 100 pages) coming out in just a few days. Three parts in all, each one super-bargain priced, and not much of a wait between each installment.

I enjoyed it! I experienced a touch of thrill, as I “lived in” a relationship with a potentially dangerous man (via the newly opened eyes of his girlfriend). Sure, it ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but it doesn’t have that killer-edge that serials like to torture us with, so I’m feeling… comfortable. While it wasn’t necessarily unputdownable, and the ending didn’t make my jaw drop, I was still intrigued by where it was going. It’s a quick read for a little psycho-thrill reading break. read more

DARK READ ALERT with an anti-hero!!! Ooooh what a warning by the authors. eek Eeeeeeeeep! And it’s written by two tried-and-true authors (one that shocked the HECK out of me in the past and thrilled me to no end) so you know I’m intrigued (and a little scared!!) of this one! It’s a “serial” BUT!! All three books are coming out in June & July, and super-bargain priced, so barely any waiting required. Just a thrill (and I’m thinking a gasp-worthy one). I hope. 😉 PLUS!!! All three installments are super-bargain priced. read more

Marissa Farrar – The Monster Trilogy Reading Order

DARK READ KIDNAP & RECLUSE ALERT!!! Book #1 is super-bargain priced today, and the trilogy conclusion is coming out this month! It sounds pretty darn great! She has a phobia of being touched, and she’s kidnapped by a recluse that won’t let himself be seen in public. Yikes!!! This sounds right up my alley. Has anyone read these yet?

About book #1:

Monster
Hidden away from society by his criminal father, there lives a man who has never entered the outside world. Now, having taken over his father’s business, he has all the money and power he could dream of, yet still he refuses to let himself be viewed by the rest of society. read more
