Acquisition Series by Celia Aaron <— DARK ROMANCE BLAST FROM OUR PAST & another huge and awesome review from our fellow reader, Cristina (and Lisa M chimed in too)!!! If you love dark, edgy and being on the edge of your seat, this one’s for you!

Christina says:

I just read…no wait… I just DEVOURED this entire series in two days flat. If you are in the mood for a dark read, this is definitely it! WARNING! If you have certain triggers this may not be the book series for you, because it is certainly a dark read. read more

Reader Question – The dark romance book where he’s a hitman and has to kill her and it’s a cat-and-mouse dynamic…

Mercedez is also looking for this one! Eeeeep!!! He’s either not a very good hitman, or he’s purposely missing, the way this one is described. Three complete different places and three assassination attempts that are missed. Interesting…

She asks:

Hi, yes, I’ve been looking for this book for a while, and it’s been hard.

All I can remember:

I think the MMC is an assassin or hitman, and he has to kill the FMC. I know the MMC wears black gloves. He camps on a roof in front of the FMC’s building and watches her through his sniper. There was a scene where he started shooting at her from across the building in her living room. The thing is, she knows he is there. read more

Jessica (in our Facebook crew) needs our book help! Oooooooh I think I already know which one she’s looking for and it ROCKED OUR VERY DARK BOOK WORLDS right around that exact time!!!

There was a time when I read a BUNCH in this trope ’cause I was shocked and appalled and absolutely couldn’t put this kind of crazy story down. So it could be at least 3 or 4 of the books I’ve read but I’m pretty sure it’s…

She asks:

I am looking for a book.

It’s dark romance (before it got popular) I wanna say it came out 2011-2013, around the time Colleen and Taryn were coming out. read more

I Love You Forever – This Love Story Was Almost Too Painful to Watch — So I Had to Read the Book Behind It…

By Leave a Comment

I was alone for a whole day yesterday  and decided I’d spend an “unwind/do nothing physically or mentally strenuous day“, watching all the movies I knew my husband wouldn’t want to watch. 😂

So… I indulged BIG TIME! I watched 4 horror/thrillers (The Wailing (meh…), Anabelle – the first one and it was a rewatch from but I didn’t remember barely any of it so it was fresh again and scary!!, Caliber<— excellent thriller 4 stars easy!! and “The Endless“<— sci-fi thriller about a cult – also an excellent 4 stars) and three romance-ish (and I say that tentatively because they were more love stories that go wrong or just…you know. Lots of growth and discovery). read more
