<— THIS ONE IS GOING LIVE AT MIDNIGHT IT’S LIVE!!! 😀 I’m just crushing on this cover so hard, and the premise of Shameless King? Even harder!
He’s the college hockey star and she’s not impressed. 😛 I love enemies-to-lovers romance stories (the push-pull… mostly push), how hard we end up pining and fuming, and better yet? How hard we have to work to get that ultimate ending. This one sounds like one of those!
Seems like the whole shebang when the author described it as a “…laugh out loud, grab the tissues, need a cold shower
read...” and we even have a free prequel (Kings of Rittenhouse – A Shameless King Prequel) to read to get us ready!! ➔➔➔
Just a little excerpt from the Shameless King blurb:
enemies-to-lovers
Reader Question – The book where they totally hated each other (and I LOVED this one and yet I can’t remember the title either)…
This one’s short and sweet but sounds plenty neat! 😉 *snort* What? You thought I was done with my corniness? Tee hee!!
Okay on to the question…
Jaymay is looking for this one:
Hi Maryse,
hope you or your readers can help.
Looking for a book I read a few years back about a girl whose best friend’s a guy but she hates his best male friend, loathes him actually but somewhere along the line they sleep together (sure it happens in a kitchen). They keep it a secret but still keep sleeping with each other.
Book Review – Undecided by Julianna Keyes
Undecided
I absolutely LOVED this fun book! It’s freaking fantastic and for all of the reasons that we once fell head-over-heels in love with “New Adult” books. It’s got the “new adult” college insecurities, but with the engaging, smart and witty, yet VERY human characters. The mistakes made in search of having a good time, the consequences dictating their current outlook, their pasts that they are trying to overcome (but in this case… nothing TOO dark – just… “stuff” ya know? Stuff that we have ALL contended with). But best of all, it’s the awesome connection between all of the characters (old friends and new…). Lots of merging going on, but in a very organic, realistic way.
The Ultimate List of Slow Burn Romance Books

THIS LIST HAS BEEN HUGELY UPDATED MAY 20th 2020!!!
We are SO in love with taking our time with book love, aren’t we? It’s the #1 thing so many of us love in romance novels, and come on… we know that the main couple will inevitably fall in love (no surprise there). But what makes a romance book go from “good” to being one of my absolute favorites is ALWAYS the slow burn (*if* it has one, that is). It’s simply what I (and many of us) prefer.
Ashley: I need help! I need a slow burn book. I just read Kulti, and I forgot how much I love the building of a relationship. I can’t do the insta connection now. Any recommendations?”
