IN THE MOOD FOR MARITAL STRIFE & DRAMA?
I mean…NOT in real life!!! In BOOKS. Always and only in books. ;)Yep. Some of us can’t resist the drama that comes with trying to hold a marriage together… or the drama of the aftermath. Or all of the details that cause a marriage to go south. It’s the topic of one of my most often requested recommendations lists (in various “romance” forms… divorce, infidelity, arranged marriages… life starting over and so on).
Shannon needs our book help! Grrrrrr!!! Oooooooh THAT MAN!!!! This one sounds like it has serious angst-potential! I’m dying to know (and I spoiler-alerted along the way so you know when to stop reading if you realize you haven’t read it yet).

Ashley: I just finished 10 Reasons to Stay by Candace Knoebel and it was so good!!! It says that it’s a duet but it’s a standalone. (Which I was relieved about!) I think the second book must be about another couple. It had a Roya Carmen feel and I love her books so it was perfect.
Evidence of the AffairLoaded in feelings and angst (and angry moments), but of course, when it comes to this author, you know that’s exactly what you’re going to get.
It is funny the crazy things our brains make up to save us from the truth.
Sure, it’s short, but it’s well developed and realistically explores all sorts of personal pain and introspection. It will keep you reading, desperate to find out what happens, and it did throw quite a surprise our way!!
Tasha: …I’m almost done with Evidence of the Affair and I’m shocked! There’s 1 little snippet that had me gasp and I didn’t see it coming.
Cheryl: I just finished it and it was… interesting. Kept waiting for a twist. …Tasha, I did a double take too. Just one of those where a bomb is thrown out casually.
Jenn: Evidence of the Affair can make me feel so much in such a short amount of time because I could relate to Carrie’s struggle and yes I gasped and actually had to go back and read it again because I questioned myself on whether I read it correctly!
